AIBU?

To be screaming at the Jeremy Vine show right now?

He's discussing the Jeremy Forrest case right now. He just interviewed someone who had a relationship with a 14 year old girl who actually sad 'she was asking for it so I gave it to her'.

Is there no common decency which stops someone broadcasting this stuff? And the number of commentators who are making excuses for his behaviour is appalling!

I know there are other threads on this but this is particularly about this show.

I don't see the problem with broadcasting it. It doesn't make the behaviour OK. Pretending it isn't happening won't make it go away.

How a 14 yo child can ask for it is beyond me. It makes my blood boil. This kind of bullshit is the reason people still excuse these types of "relationships". She might look like a woman she might talk like a woman she might dress like a woman but that sick bastard was the adult and he should have seen her as A CHILD. Angry

The caller that made that comment was cut off straight away - how can you blame a broadcaster on this type of live show for that?

Don't they have a 7 second delay on radio phone in shows?

YANBU for screaming at it but YABVU for listening to such shite in the first place.

Good point Sav Blanc - I could have saved myself the blood pressure hike by never running the crap on. Should know better by now! I did turn it off after that of course - after the horse has bolted, so to speak.

Sadly, this kind of attitude towards 13-15 year old girls is very common, especially among men. It's the "they're all at it anyway" and "if there's grass on the pitch, you can play" mentality.

I bet he got an easy ride in prison because of it. They were probably all queuing up to pat him on the back.

This is why I avoid Jeremy Vine & his Daily Mail readers who phone in. Turn it off or turn it over!

Radio 2 is to be avoided betw 12-2...
