A scooter has been left on the grass outside my house, I know who it belongs to , and putting it back will result it ending on my front garden.

So I am going to take it to the dump as we are moving in a few weeks, and they are doing it to try and wind me up.

After years of abuse, assault they are trying there normal tricks in trying to engage in us biting back, for example this morning shouting loudly outside our house at 8am, what would you do?.

Everyone says just ignore them.

I would n't, they could accuse you of theft.

If their doing it to wind you up, then leave it there

Report
HollyBerryBush · 26/05/2013 08:18

If you are moving, why engage?

Leave it until the day you move and then put it (and anything else they may dump in your garden between now and then) back in their garden just before you leave.

I'd be signing them up for all the junk mail/sales calls I could think of too, just to keep me amused in the interim. But then I'm a petty fucker.

I'd turn hose pipe on them when they talk loudly outside.

I'd organise someone to take the scooter.

I cant be doing with dickhead neighbours. I have my own and patience has gone with them.

They sound horrendous, how horrible to have to put up with them. Why are they like this, do you know? Probably sounds as though you should just ignore them or else they will just up their abuse.

Report
wehaveourlifeback · 26/05/2013 08:20

Because it is near my car, and I do not want it damaged.

They could accuse me of theft but its the top of the scooter which is the handle bar.

I do not want to engage thats why I removed it, it will only end up back on my garden if I put it outside her front door thats what they want me to do

Just leave it there. It'll wind them up more if you don't react.

Report

Don't take it to the dump, just leave it there or lean it against their wall

And sign them up for all the junk mail you can possibly manage.

I would leave it if you are moving, why make things worse?

However the only thing I think you could do is call the council. They aren't breaking the law (well, maybe littering? But really what will the police be able/have time to do?).
If they are actually harassing you then call the Police, it's not acceptable & you shouldn't have to deal with it.
But if they are just being slightly goady, annoying twats then there isn't really anything - council usually want a diary, you'll have moved by then.

I'm not quite sure why it being near your car merits it goi g to the tip. TBH, I would be more worried that if you take it to the tip, you might find the scratch fairy aka your neighbours visit you in the middle if the night and your car gets damaged

You're moving. I would let them pile up all the junk they want and then move it back on the last day to their garden

Not sure I've you've declared this issue to your house purchasers as part if the sale process. However, I would definitely not ramp up the issue as then you would absurdly be obliged to and your buyers could pull out

could you hand it into the police or the housing warden if you live on an estate saying you've found it and don't want rove stolen.

That way you've got rid if it but if they try to be smart and accuse you if theft you've done nothing wrong.

You need to play clever with arseholes like that and just not let them know its winding you up. Very hard and you have my sympathy.

I would call the council and advise it has been dumped and name them as the dumpers.

How have you been dealing with the harassment? eg via official channels such as environmental health if officially could you not continue your complaint? Are you selling or was it a rental?

I have put it back outside but someone has turned up .

We are giving our house back to the council.

We have put up with damage to our property, abuse, assault and the list goes on.

They have been spoken to by the police, but not since I was assaulted by one of the neighbours I have also given the notes that have been put on our car, and through the front door, the Ha are well aware of them, and have a 10 page document of all the things they have done to our family.

I found out one of them has been asking questions about where my Dad is from, she was asked happy to tell you why do you want to know she never came back to this person.

If they put things outside your house leave them there you are leaving soon - do'nt rise to it (do they know you are leaving?) As others have said, it would be very tempting to leave it until moving day and just dump it all in the back garden so it's hard for them to get back.

I'd also perhaps next time anything appears in your garden, leave it in situ, but walk outside and take a photo when you know they will see you, then go back indoor without moving it, it'll annoy them trying to work out what you are doing.

YY to signing them up to every bit of junk you can...

And then after you've moved...in a few months when they've forgotten al about you...have a ton of manure delivered to their doorstep.

Just move it so it isn't endangering your own vehicle, but not back onto their land - if they think it isn't bothering you they will be a bit unsure what to do next. They sound very childish - just stop responding.

Don't dispose of their property. That will just escalate it and you could end up in trouble.

Bloody weirdos.

Save all dumped items. The night you move, go and "plant" it all around their garden. Make little signs for the "species" of plant - "Neighbourius Obnoxiouso" "Youreaprickus" etc
