She is exquisite, isn't she? She looks even better on film/motion than in photos.

I am so gutted that I wasn't born looking like that. My other girl crush is Christine Hendricks. No normal human being is that pretty, surely? It should be illegal.

LaQueen Tue 23-Apr-13 09:44:02

You know, I can only speak from personal experience but really it's often a drag being beautiful...people tend to assume you must be a bit thick, and then get all huffy when they realise you're actually well educated, too... [sighs heavily...fluffs hair in mirror...]

LaQueen Tue 23-Apr-13 09:45:39

Actually, I would like to look like Natalie Portman - which aint ever going to happen, as I'm fair skinned, blonde and grey eyed...

My SIL looks uncannily like Natalie Portman, and turns heads every time she steps out the door (and she's genuinely lovely, and very clever too - the cah).

TheRealFellatio Tue 23-Apr-13 09:52:04

OMG LaQueen! You are secretly Samantha Brick aren't you? How did I not realise this before? grin

LaQueen Tue 23-Apr-13 09:59:57

[swiftly claps hand over Fell's mouth...drags her off the thread...]

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 19:34:31

No one has ever assumed I'm a bit thick nor is there a Tah-dah reveal of ability
nothing in my demeanor, behaviour or appearance would lead one to assumption I'm thick
Why do folk assume you're thick queen? are you ditzy?

LaQueen Tue 23-Apr-13 19:56:57

SM I was joshing...I don't acksherly consider myself beautiful, honest smile

And, I'm as un-ditzy, as you could ever hope to meet. I'm generally described as slightly scarey authorative and acerbic.

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 20:00:47

I know!iwas wondering if yiu had anthea turner moments all fluff and fold

LaQueen Tue 23-Apr-13 20:39:51

Nah...

CheerfulYank Tue 23-Apr-13 20:46:12

People often assume I'm thick (though not as much now as when I was v blonde and thin) because my cheerfulness is often seen as ditziness.

More fool them as I'm positively radiant with cleverness. grin

hairtearing Tue 23-Apr-13 22:00:19

She has a beautiful face, I'd give organs to look like her NM limbs.

hairtearing Tue 23-Apr-13 22:14:03

I think tbh as much as pretty people protest, being attractive is generally a very easy ride for both sexes, as we live in a world consumed by superficial values,

As another poster said I wonder ,
had I ever been pretty my life would have been hugely different, you're generally treat with scorn and vitriol simply for breathing and having the audacity to be ugly in their vicinity. I think 'ugly women' have poor relationships with mothers too in general, often their mothers have a hard time dealing with having made 'an ugly child'. more so girls.

So shut yer' whinin!

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 22:22:45

Utter frasier crane box set psychodribble, tortured mums angst at making ugly wean
I hope you cut paste that opinion, rather than pondering it as if fact

hairtearing Tue 23-Apr-13 22:27:41

Its true in some cases, even just reading stuff off here some mothers are pretty mean and fathers.

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 22:39:48

sOme mothers are mean? and? should women only talk of cakes, puppies and pot pourri?

CheerfulYank Tue 23-Apr-13 22:41:41

I love cake and puppies. grin

Do any mothers actually think their children are ugly, though?

hairtearing Tue 23-Apr-13 22:41:59

What is wrong with you? do you need to be so rude?
,I am simply stating things I and other people have experienced, its not wrong its just different ,

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 22:46:16

Yikes you're touchy.opine away but do expect to be challenged.it's not a given
some Mothers are pretty mean- your assertion, which I rightly picked up on
That's how mn work,we post, other folk opine and not necessarily to concur

hairtearing Tue 23-Apr-13 22:48:07

But some are? its a fact I'm not wrong.

hairtearing Tue 23-Apr-13 22:48:43

I don't expect people to agree just be capable of disagreeing without being rude.

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 22:50:43

And your point is what?you see, pretty nasty, well it's subjective
Pretty nasty to you may not cut it with others. It is all opinion
I not think opining on surgically enhanced actress of limited range is mean

Plathism Tue 23-Apr-13 22:51:32

I'm stealing 'Frasier Crane box set psychodribble' scottishmummy grin

AprilAndFrank Tue 23-Apr-13 22:54:22

Yeah but most mothers genuinely think their children are the most beautiful people ever. I do have a chuckle when I read certain posts on here.

Such as my 12 year old is stunning and so into high fashion and has even walked in some fashion shows. Which basically translates as - they love Topshop and have walked in a college/school fashion show.

Hardly they are hired by Elite Model Management and walking for Vasace in Paris during Fashion Week.

scottishmummy Tue 23-Apr-13 22:54:48

Do use liberally,i get even more animated about woo hoo, homeopathy and alternative therapy

AprilAndFrank Tue 23-Apr-13 22:58:12

I not think opining on surgically enhanced actress of limited range is mean

She has more than a limited range to be fair ... have you seen her in any other film besides Transformers?
