Well, asthma doesn't turn into noro, but the other kids spraying it round the A&E waiting room usually manage to hit DS...

DD1 has very sticky out ears indeed. When she was a baby I called her Wingnut.
DD2 had a big round head like Charlie Brown but has grown into it. I called her Baby Bighead.

Well, that will teach me to skim threads.

Blatherskite Mon 08-Apr-13 22:40:06

Unlikely when we discovered 4 posts in that he pronounces it Loo-ee

LynetteScavo England Mon 08-Apr-13 22:35:48

Was Louis 8yo? Because he spells it Lewis.

Sirzy Mon 08-Apr-13 22:28:16

The first time I took DS to A and E his Sats where 74% the nurse used 2 different machines because she was so sure it was wrong but it wasn't!

It's amazing how quick you get accustomed to what different numbers mean and when you need to worry!

Oh god, the number of times I've brought a DC in to A&E with asthma and brought them home with norovirus... still, there was no need for the mum to be a twat about it.

A&E should just have a bloody oximeter finger-hole-thing on the door. 97?! you're fine, that nasty rattling is just phlegm, off you fuck. Ooh, 90? You can have a cubicle and regular pokings. God speed.

From a lifetime of doing exams, I thought DD was doing pretty well at 90% oxygen, until alarms started going off. blush What, since when is 90 out of 100 not good?!

ChippingInIsEggceptional Mon 08-Apr-13 22:03:01

(Almost) THREE How the fuck did that happen? hmm

tsc

is this the boy I helped name over an unnecessarily long period of time?

Badvoc Mon 08-Apr-13 19:38:03

Or....
Get an envelope.
Look shifty.
Go and sit next to horrid person, put envelope on seat and say sotto voce
"It must look like an accident"
And walk off
smile
Mwahahahahahaha

Badvoc Mon 08-Apr-13 19:35:35

TSC
If this ever happens again (and I hope it doesn't obv) then I would advocate doing the following:
Text someone to phone you. A couple of rings will do.
Answer phone.
Cough.
Look woeful.
Tell the "caller" that the docs have seen you but are discussing a transfer to the tropical disease hospital as they aren't too sure what is wring with you and if its infectious.
smile
Yes. I am that evil.

Booyhoo Mon 08-Apr-13 19:26:36

JumpingJackSprat Mon 08-Apr-13 19:25:20

Ive been lurking/around for about two years, not five minutes. the fact most of you think its ok and i "need to get out more" says a lot more about you than me.

hazeyjane Mon 08-Apr-13 19:22:54

Ah, I am a not so dinky 4'11 and size, cough, sputter in clothes.

It should fit her!

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman Mon 08-Apr-13 19:22:19

And thank you Sirzy and TSC too.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman Mon 08-Apr-13 19:21:19

Thank you hazey DD does too, she's a dinky 5ft 1 and a size 4 in clothes so she is little too.

ChippingInIsEggceptional Mon 08-Apr-13 19:17:00

JumpingJackSprat - Really? You clearly haven't been around long/much.

Some people do need to get out more.

hazeyjane Mon 08-Apr-13 18:52:11

Yes, it fits me, but I have very little hands!
