the last time I got a hug, or any physical contact from a person other than my kids was the 15th November and that was someone I hardly knew at the time but who somehow knew I needed a hug.

its weird not to have contact with people!

Virtual hug. Even worse when you have a partner who hasn't hugged you for years.

yeah he didn't unless he wanted sumet (which was never nice) and now there's no one!

Thanks for the virtual one though Smile

I'd give you a hug. We all need human contact, sometimes we can forget it if we go too long without it. hug

I'm always up for a virtual hug Smile

Not so much in RL though, and thankfully DH is the same.

But I did feel better after he gave me a rare unsolicited hug last week when I was stressing about something, those few seconds just said so much, like acknowledging I was on the edge and I wasn't on my own, so I know what you mean (to a certain extent).

You sound a bit lonely, would you or have you tried to get it together with anyone else? How long ago did it end with your ex?

My nerve endings jangle if I don't get physical contact from the DC. DC1 is now twelve and I love it when she hugs me with her young strong body that I grew, but she'll be backing away from me as if I were a leper in a couple of years Sad

Huge Un-MNetty HUG Thanks and Wine OP Smile

I finally got rid of ex in august, my family have been useless but my kids are great for hugs.

My last adult hug was from someone who had actually been the first person I told about the awful things my STBXH had done, when I didn't know her at all. Now she is a really good friend who I talk to daily but sadly she lives a long way away. (anyone who can get a long rambling message from someone like she got from me and not treat me like a nut case is truly amazing!)

Thanks guys for the virtual ones, I know they are unmumsnety but they have helped thanks.

Sending a massive hugs as I know what it is like when I was single I had at one point 18 months with no contact apart from my dc.

Luckly I have a fab dp now who gives brill hugs freely and if I ask he pops over from laptop etc and hugs me and even holds my hand when we go out !! ( my x never did this)

Of course YANBU.

I got a hug from my Dad last week, who is not the hugging type while I sobbed my heart out about missing my DP who died in July, and he made me feel so much better and ready to face the world.

(((((((hug)))))))
