AIBU?

To be gutted that my statistically intervention didn't work

Well sort of she was right about the band size but my bravissimo order arrived today and I definitely do not have FF whoppers or come to that even F ones.

It is a lovely tartan affair too, with matching pants. I never have matching pants. I was looking forward to waltzing round the house in my matching set and feck all else. I was looking forward to norks so enormous I could have someones eye out. Sad

Now I will actually have to go to a shop and try things on. Angry. This I do not like.

But most of all whilst still clearly at demigod status, statistically has proven herself (marginally) fallible. She was a guru, she was a shinning light in a dark dark world of illfitting underwear. And now it seems she cannot guess the size my norks without ever having met me and only having my possibly unreliable measurements to go on. A sad day. A sad sad day.

Ahhh lego - did you try her scooping technique???

Report
LifeSavedbyLego · 28/02/2013 21:20

I didn't read the minutia of the scooping instructions but I was definately trying, and there wasn't there anything left that could go in.

Could I have a recap?

That's a shame.

I currently where an 36c and was told to try a 32ff!!!

I did try a 36d today & the cup was better.

I will also try a smaller band another time.

I can't imagine ever filling an ff though!

Hope that you get sorted out.

I went into Bravissimo a 38D-DD and came out a 36F-FF.

Was brill to get a dress that actually fitted my boobs as well as my hips though.

diddl, you have to go up several cups in order to go down to right band size.

measure round your chest under boobs, and if that is 32, then you should try a 32!

Really, I did this about 10 years ago (got properly measured.) it is totally different,

Lego - f you have got it all 'scooped in' then you have probably got it all.
You probably need to go into a good shop and try the sizes up and down a bit each way. I found House of Fraser good.

Bollox. I hate shopping - in an actual shop.

Just think of it as a glorified fitting, and then you can order on-line!

Diddl an F cup on a 32 band is similar in volume to a 36DD. Not all F cups are equal!

whattodoo you need to get on one of the bra threads and post your under and over measurements for size guidance.

Maybe we should have a disclaimer?

*Sizes are for guidance only and you may well need to try a size or two either side. You may also vary in size between brands and styles. No responsibility will be accepted for tartan disappointments!

Yes I had originally made the mistake of not realising that sizes here in Germany also had the same flaw.

I measure 80cms underneath and wear an 80cm bra iyswim.

Currently wearing an 80c.

Tried an 80d yesterday & that cup size is better!

So if I go down a band size, that's 75e!!
And two sizes down a 70f!!

Sounds huge to me!

Life, I did the same - guessed at 28GG, but was way too small. Have sent it back and ordered a 28HH instead. However, I am bf and my boobs do change in size a lot. I have not lost faith, though - the principle is right! And online shopping is online shopping - nothing ever fits right. Or else it turns out to be made out of crap material which explains why it cost £14. I'm looking at you, ASOS.

when you measure under your boobs, are your arms up or down?

Report
BubblegumPie · 06/03/2013 11:26

I mean which way are they supposed to be?

Report
LifeSavedbyLego · 06/03/2013 11:27

Down, how else are you supposed to hold the tape measure? Smile

Firm measure under, loose measure round.

Does anyone have the link to the original thread? I can't remember it all now and I never got around to it when it was active.

Lego - the cup is the hardest bit to measure and you do get some ladies who fit quite a different cup to their "measurement". My friend, for example - she has had a reduction and uplift. She still has big boobs but they are a lot more "compact" for want of a better word. So her widest point measurement suggests she needs about an H cup, but in reality she doesn't have the full breast volume to support than and wears a G.

Oops sorry missed your update too! What did you end up with in the end?

Report
LifeSavedbyLego · 06/03/2013 11:48

32DDD from wacoal. One of which is bright pink!
And 32e from Marie Jo.

But they really are comfy and look lovely. Thanks so much for your help.
