AIBU?

To not have a clue what to get DH for V day?

We don't normally "do" Valentines but for some reason he's planned something, probably very lovely and thoughtful. Lucky me. (not a meal out)

Unfortunately I'm suffering from baby brain and can't think what to give/make him. Every idea I have is rubbish.

What are you doing for your DPs if anything/what do you suggest??

Don't say blowjob

We only do cards and flowers so I'm no help!

I find it so hard to find thoughtful little presents for DH that aren't CDs or DVDs. A funny little book might do it, but isn't terribly inspiring.

We just do cards too. And if I asked him what he wanted he'd definitely say a blow job! Could you get him a normal ish present like a cd, DVD or game you know he'd like? Or buy him some nice pants that you'll benefit from seeing him in? Or but yourself some new undies that he'll benefit from seeing you in?

I'm very bad at romance. I've got him Star Wars light sabre chopsticks (he's taking me out for a Chinese meal), a zombie DVD (in Norwegian with subtitles) and a box of chocolates, which I'm giving up for Lent, so for once won't be trying to eat them myself.

I have got him a card, and a large selection box of thorntons toffee, chocs and fudge for me obviously cause he might like them.

I once put together when i could be bothered being romantic a photo collage with a picture of us as a couple from each year we had been together, that was well received.

I'm making my DH some adult gift tokens and making him a nice dinner for when the kids are in bed

Making an effort and moneysaving at the same time Grin

People buy stuff for their OH's on Valentines?! The only gift I've ever received was a balloon model in the shape of a cock and balls. Hmm

I would do adult gift tokens if I wanted/was able to do sexual favours!

I've got DW a large roll of mouldy (on the outside) Spanish ewe's milk cheese.

fingers crossed...... It's one hell of a risk.

I've got him a Lego kit via ebay, it makes a red heart-shaped box. Ticks all my boxes; cheap, cliched yet boyish manly enough for him (grin)

I got DH a gaming mouse mat, we don't normally do valentines but as we haven't spent much time together we are this year

Mine keeps asking me what I want, and I keep saying "nothing". I don't like Valentine's Day, weirdly commercial and sexualised rubbish.

I might make him something nice, like brownies or something.

We don't do presents, just a nice meal at home and a shag.

Cards and a few silly bits

"Naughty dice"
Nerds candies
Jawbreaker candies
Photo frame (ill put a pic of us in)
Sizzling body candy

And I got a book thingy, its the story of how we met. Its just a blank book and each person has to write their version of how they first met ect :)

We don't ever buy cards, hate them. We sometimes use the occasion as an excuse to buy something we have our eye on but often buy it ourselves!

I'm getting my spray tan done on thurs for a night out at the weekend, so i'll be a grubby mess on v'tines night. no shag then.

Erm, i seem to have gone overboard! I have been buyin little bits every week i have got him
A non-cheesy card with a funky design
A box of malteasers
A pair of jeans in the primark sale
A banksy keyring from homebargains
A funky t-shirt also primark
But my favorite is a little plastic motorbike from the tron legacy film , its his favorite film ever for some reason so i was very pleased to find it for 99p cheap
Not spent much but its a nice little gift bag full :)

An awesome t-shirt this but I nabbed the idea from TheCraicDealer ; it only works if your DP is a Smiths fan Wink

Steak and sex.

DH is vegetarian and I'm not sure I'm ready for coitus after giving birth a matter of weeks ago so not sure this will go down well with either of us!

Seriously though, thanks for your replies - you've inspired an idea.

God I love that Smiths song (and t-shirt). Inspired!

Nothing going on here really. DP cooking be a meal. Think I might buy nice wine.

(Uninspired!)
