Think I might possibly have too many bottle of perfume, yet went into The Fragrance Shop today and had a look through their sale box. never been in there before but saw a bottle of one of my favourite scents (Michael kors) and bought it. Now have 20 bottles. Is that a normalish amount?

Yabu but only because I have 2 half empty bottles Envy

It sounds a lot to me but I'm piss poor, I have 2 bottles. I can't imagine having £400 worth of smelly stuff sitting on my dressing table knowing that would keep my electricity meter going for months but that's just me and my situation right now.

Do what you please with your money!

You have TWENTY bottles of perfume?

Nope, that's not normal. Not for me anyway (but then I have one bottle on the go, so praps aren't normal (whatever that is) either)

Won't they go off before you can use them all?

Are those 20 bottles of the same perfume?

I don't think there is a 'normal' amount is there?

You do sound a bit greedy, but in all honesty if you can afford it and it makes you happy then why not?

20 bottles of different perfume sounds ok to me, but 20 bottles of the same sounds a bit OTT

I have about 10. I love perfume and DP flies alot so often brings me some back from duty free. They last absolutely ages.

As long as none of them are by Katie Price, you're fine with me.

I have 3 and two are the same and the others shit!

Oh and 3 deodorants and a body spray currently on the go.

Is there any such thing as normal?

Ok. I am not buying any more perfume FOREVER! I haven't bought them all- my dad gets stuck for birthday ideas and voila, more perfume.

How much did it cost you? Doesn't perfume go off?

Report

I would be worried about it going off with that much but I am a perfume lover too and I do sometimes buy more when I already have loads, so I might not have resisted either. I have about 10 bottles I guess.

It depends on whether you wear them or not. If some are old bottles you no longer use stick them on eBay - you'd be surprised what some people will pay for a half empty bottle of perfume. X

I've got loads, but I did work in a pharmacy and recieve loads of freebies that I hardly wear

20 doesn't seem abnormal tbh

Yanbu.

I have 15+ full size and 10 miniatures (Fragonard). I've convinced myself I collect them, and they look nice on my glass dressing table tray.
Also, I don't like to wear the same scent every day, and I have evening/occasion perfumes, and summer perfumes too.

Yanbu

I have about a similar amount plus 5 unopened bottles.

I just love it Blush

I've just used up my last bottle and am sad. But since I'm skint, I may have to check out that Lidl perfume people keep banging on about...

How much did you pay for the Michael Kors never heard of him perfume?

My mother had some bottles left when she died and it took me 3 years to get through them. Rather than pay £40 for a bottle, I bought Princess Victoria at the local 99p shop and it's nice. Made by a British company.

I have 2-3 on the go and another 2-3 I gave my DDs to play with as I don't like them. 20 sounds a bit much to me.

I have about 8 bottles (same as PP, day / night / summer / winter)

Normal I'd say. And not 'greedy' to work/pay for own things. Or accept them as presents.

I have about 20 or more bottles. I wear it every day and tend to get it as gifts for Xmas etc. This year I specifically said please do not buy me any perfume as i have loads but still got 2 bottles lol! It will probably start to go off before I use it.
I do love it though :)

HollyBB do you find the Lidl one lasts? I like the smell, but it seems to disappear rapidly. I keep a bottle downstairs so I can take a squirt if I have forgotten to put on a 'proper' one and can't be bothered to go back upstairs.

I stopped wearing perfume 5 years ago when ds1 was a baby. Df brought him back from his grandmothers after a visit and he absolutely stank of perfume, it was disgusting. Had to strip him off and couldn't believe how much it clung.
Even though my youngest is now nearly 3, I've just never started wearing it again. I have one bottle that I wear about once a fortnight on a special ( evening) occasion...so too me, 20 bottles is extreme and very wasteful. Tbh though, I think I would have thought that before the grandmother incident when I used to wear perfume every day.
