to think maybe we are not middle class enough for Dorset Cereals

Just that really.

I bought their granola but have more or less given up on it. It's not that I dislike it but I am worried all the time that it will dislodge one of my fillings. DH tried it once and says it tastes like something meant for a budgie's cage. DD won't touch it with a barge pole. It is destined for the bird table.

I think it's overpriced and overrated. It's probably more MC to make your own smile

Morrisons do a granola as well.

I love granola - but taste is important. And cost.

cheesesarnie Sat 02-Feb-13 17:26:09

how's it middle class?

Bakingtins Sat 02-Feb-13 17:26:35

Do MC people have stronger (or fewer) fillings?

I like the Fabulously Fruity muesli, but not the granola.

HollyBerryBush Sat 02-Feb-13 17:27:44

Alpen is rabbit food, Dorset is 'munch' as the kids would say!

cantspel Sat 02-Feb-13 17:28:14

I have never eaten granola in my life.

I am more a bowl of frosties girl and will never be middle class.

BIWI Sat 02-Feb-13 17:30:55

So you don't like it. How on earth is that 'middle class'

Stupid.

BIWI Sat 02-Feb-13 17:31:28

... as in a stupid thing to say.

Sugarice Sat 02-Feb-13 17:31:38

Never heard of it.

OutragedFromLeeds Sat 02-Feb-13 17:32:59

They sell it in Lidl

CheCazzo Sat 02-Feb-13 17:34:57

Do you perceive it as 'middle class' because it's a bit expensive or because it's got 'bits' in? Interesting viewpoint, whatever your answer. Do you think you might be a bit, errrr, confused?

The LIDL one is much better...especially the one with cranberries in.

Sugarice Sat 02-Feb-13 17:37:27

Is it like Alpen because that is vile!

In fact all cereal makes me heave, give me a bacon sandwich any day and sod the calories!

Montybojangles Sat 02-Feb-13 17:38:14

Don't like their granola, but love the Toasted spelt muesli, not as sweet as some of the other ones. Never thought of cereals as class related. Bought it first time as I once lived in Dorset!

I make my own and am completely up my own arse. Do I win a prize?

CuttedUpPear Sat 02-Feb-13 17:41:22

I make my own in several varieties. It helps me to be not too fat.

<lives in a council house>
<totally middle class>

Sulawesi Sat 02-Feb-13 17:43:48

I am middle class and I love Dorset Cereals, they even raffle a camper van every now and then grin!

SoWhatIfImWorkingClass Sat 02-Feb-13 17:45:18

I think granola is a bit out of my league then lol.

kim147 Sat 02-Feb-13 17:45:49

Is it the packaging grin

kim147 Sat 02-Feb-13 17:46:18

And the fact it comes from Dorset?

Maybe Newcastle cereal

AuntieStella Sat 02-Feb-13 17:46:54

Posh cereal is cornflakes from Tupperware.

andubelievedthat Sat 02-Feb-13 17:49:30

many years ago i lived inDorset, (just so you all know), perhaps you should find /locate a "better" dentist ? me? full english>as in ,breakfast.health shit is a con. cos "weightwatchers" is owned by a shite food company.

wonkylegs Sat 02-Feb-13 17:50:25

I've only tried it at the ILs and think is vile, Too sweet
Much preferred Fuel granola - the berry one but think it's generally overpriced. Sticking to porridge with cinnamon & raisins at least til the weather warms up.

oldebaglady Sat 02-Feb-13 17:52:40

DS likes the pink dorset cereal because it turns the milk pink - but I buy it from Asda confused

also buy lidl granola

is it posh then?
how can granola be posh?
