Without a highly padded bra my chest is completely flat - like a bloke. I am relatively small framed but I hate my lack of boobs sooo much. My friends always go on about how 'lucky' I am because big boobs are painful/annoying etc but in reality I would be delighted to have C or even B cups which I don't imagine to be hard to live with!

AIBU to hate having small boobs? I hate that I live in 'Abracadabra Bras', hate that I can't wear a bikini because I look ridiculous. I don't know anyone else as flat as me!

YABU. Your body is healthy, does not have cancer, is not paralysed, does not have a million other problems (at least I hope not). Even tiny boobs work for their designed function, feeding a baby.

to hate a healthy body is to be ungrateful for it. Speak to someone with a real health problem (or even someone badly scarred) and then think about what you just said.

Well, I have ballerina boobs and I'm very fond of them.

They are perfect for running, I can get clothes to fit and they produced gallons of breast milk when I needed them to.

Its not unreasonable to feel the way you do.

But its not unreasonable for your friends to think you are lucky, because when you have big boobs and find them uncomfortable, its very very difficult to imagine why anyone wouldn't want to be flat chested, be able to wear pretty bras, not be in pain etc.

However, if your friends comments upset you, and they know that the comments upset you, then it is very unreasonable of them to voice those comments, regardless of what they actually think.

I've always been an A cup and, when I was younger, pined for bigger boobs.

They barely grew - even when pregnant.

The advantage is that they have never sagged and look quite good on my ancient frame.

I have smallish boobs but I quite like them, would look a bit odd if they were bigger tbh-small boobs always stay where they start off fortunately whereas the larger variety, at some point, have to give in to gravity.
All the pretty undies come in small sizes, not always the case if you have bazookas or so my large breasted mate informs me.

I agree with Laurie about working a look. It feels terribly unfair when you live in a society that seems to value enormous boobs but if you're slim all over then you can get away with tiny t-shirts and like shift dresses - there is a world of lovely clothes out there for the slim, petite woman. I also think confidence is a big thing - if you think you look lovely, then other people will too. And not every man is mad about huge breasts, despite the impression one might get from the media.

No YANBU I hate having small boobs and it's worse on me because I'm a big person and my belly is bigger than my boobs. What I hate the most though is friends regularly laughing in a 'jokey' way about the fact I have no boobs. It's not funny.

YANBU to feel the way you do. But try and look on the positive aspects of small boobs rather than the negatives. Small boobs might not 'fill' a bikini as well as larger ones but I bet there's loads of beach sports you can do that I couldn't as a result. You also won't get that awful sweat rash underneath them. That's two positives right there!

I would love small boobs, but sometimes I just have to tell myself to be grateful for the healthy body I do have, even if certain aspects are not to my liking.

Mine are an A cup, and most of the time I'm happy enough. Bizarrely, one of the times I'm not ok with them is when my DP says that he thinks they're amazing. I always say something like, "oh but they're so small/not enough of them/you like bigger ones". He says to me:-

"There are nice big ones and horrible big ones. There are nice small ones and horrible small ones. You definitely have brilliant small ones and I'd never change them".

If it's any comfort OP I lived for many years with massive boobs (34 HH) and I hated them and I paid 8 grand for a brilliant plastic surgeon to reduce them - and I love my new small breasts.

Big breasts are not all they are cracked up to be I can tell you.

I know how you feel- I thought mine had grown as I went up to a b cup, but then I lost some weight (needed to as was very overweight for my height at 5 foot 1 and 11!!! stone) and they are now tiny again. On the plus side, I have lost two stone :) so will happily sacrifice bigger boobs for that I guess.

I can't wear the pretty undies I am reliant on my Abracadabra Bras which whilst amazing are very plain (they are from asda and make you look 2 cup sizes bigger whilst being surprisingly light/ comfortable. I won't wear anything that doesn't have massive amounts of padding! My mum saw some of my bras and asked how I even fit my boobs in them, to which I replied easily as I have none

Of course I am lucky to be healthy and the last thing I want is to offend someone who isn't. I guess I have some pretty major self esteem issues- I've already had a nose job and trying to remind myself of the positives of small boobs!

I don't really think that society does value enormous boobs. They are perhaps popular with trashy magazines aimed at a certain type of young man, but boobs are non existent in the world of fashion. You'll never see a model with boobs for example. And many high street clothes just aren't cut with anything but small boobs in mind. And large boobs are often associated with being overweight.

I have humungous knockers which I can't stand, op so I know what it's like to hate your boobs. I think a B/C cup seems ideal.

Strangely enough, I always thought I would have a boob job if I come into some money.

But I tried on a very padded "booster" bra and hated my silhouette. After that I was much happier with my body shape.

I have AA and used to hate them but now I like it. I managed to exclusively breast feed both my dc so they are at least fit for purpose. Dh has never shown the slightest concern, neither have ex boyfriends. On my last office, a couple of the women in my team would come up to me in the loos and look at my boobs enviously saying they wish theirs were the same (they both were DD cup). I've come to terms with it and am more than fine with it - hope you manage to as well OP - very possible!

Agree that the boobs splashed over the media are pretty unhelpful, but try not to dwell on it.
