. . . to a bloke who has changed his name from a perfectly good one to a reeeeeally stoopid one, and who works for his uncle on a pointless vanity project.

Yeah flame away, I know I am being U. I expect he's lovely. Or something.

But if I was her Mum, I'd be "Kate, Kate! Let your Aunty Ivy set you up with a nice suitable boy!!

Arf! Yes, he sounds really mature.

YABU, it's her choice to marry who she wants, regardless of how silly you think his name is, like that is what his entire personality is based on?

His name is silly. You can't get away from it. It is a silly name.

Is she a woman who loves to be 'in love' and totally believes in romance and has to have a man in her life?

Good luck to them.

What does Ned do though, what is his job?, and will she be known as Kate RocknRoll in her private life I wonder Xmas Grin

Well given that he picked his name, I expect it's indicative of his personality. I used to think she was quite down to earth until she ran off with a director of one of her films and then took up with Richard Bransons hippy nephew.

He sounds like an immature PITA, and she irritates the hell out of me so I think they make a great couple!

VBisme · 27/12/2012 16:53

His "job" appears to be "Richard Bransons nephew", and the name change is very look at me don't you think?

She can get married as often as she wishes but I think marrying a bloke who's changed his name from 'Abel Smith' to Ned Rocknroll is errrrrrrrrrrrr damn stupid optimistic

According to the BBC he "works for his uncle's space flight company, Virgin Galactic."

Not smirking at all, no, not me, no sir.

What's his name? How can I get a job as a Richard Branson vanity project?

Report
Northernlebkuchen · 27/12/2012 16:57

and yes I do think Kate has a problem with needing to be in love as opposed to loving someone.

She's deffo up the duff.

May I suggest "Webuiltthiscityon" as a name?

I will eat my hat if they celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary.

Kate seems to be in love with the "falling in love hormones" .

Thisisaeuphemism · 27/12/2012 16:59

Nice one, Katie, but I prefer the more simple "Ilove"

Thisis Let's hope it's twins!

Duncan Jones uses sensible name rather than Zowie Bowie = good sign.

Abel Smith changes name to Ned Fucking RockNRoll = bad sign.

Report
dexter73 · 27/12/2012 17:00

She might have twins and then you could use both those brilliant names!

I wonder if she her lawyers arranged a pre-nup?

Report
Thisisaeuphemism · 27/12/2012 17:02

A pre-nup would NOT be very rocknroll tho.
