I think he's fun, entertaining and I always look forward to his performance on a Saturday. Does anyone think he'll get a decent career out of his stint?

He might get a career in reality tv or possibly as a presenter, not in anything that involves singing! He is fun, though, and it would piss Simon Cowell off if he won, so, on that basis, YANBU.

I know he's not an amazing singer but he can sing and probably better than a lot of chart acts. I just love his energy.

YABU! He can't sing for toffee and surely really belongs on Big Brother/ Towie or similar rather than X Factor so we wouldn't have to hear him attempting to "sing"....then again I guess he's not as bad as Jedward.

He can;t sing, gabby. THere are some poor singers in the charts, but none as bad as him. His tuning is often poor and his tone is awful!

I agree that although he can't sing brilliantly he is entertaining.

Apparently xfactor has never been won by someone who's been in the bottom two.

S who does that leave to win? I think only jermaine.......how about Christopher, please say he's been in the bottom two. Though I can't understand why he didn't get kicked out if so.

You don't have to win x factor to have a recording contract anymore. So it should be about who you want to be on for the weeks it's on and for me that's rylan for the entertainment value!

Bet there are chart singers as bad as him when singing live. Also bet he can be made to sound absoluetly fine when sound engineered.

Sorry, Spatsky, are you trying to suggest he can sing well enough for a singing career? I'm not sure why anyone would do that... I am aware of autotune, sound engineering etc, but few acts manage a career, rather than just an album, without being able to perform live. Perfroming live is, infact, how most acts get as far as a record deal in the first place.
Rylan is a very poor singer, not just tuning but also tone, breathing and phrasing. THese things can not be edited away as easily as tuning.
I have, however, already siad that he is entertaining to watch.

Oh I think Rylan is lovely! Yes, hopefully he'll win, it'll piss off Garry Barlow, Simon Cowell and he seems like a genuinely nice bloke. Hopefully as well, it might be a sign they have to give up on X factor...

well since he is useless as a singer he might get a part in Dr. Who as some kind of weird alien thing, he has the looks for starts. If the X factor was a radio only contest he would not have got by the first hurdle, he is only there because he is a freak imo.

He came across really well in the last show, I thought. Kudos for the dancing on a treadmill thing. And the kids lurve him! He will have a career anyway, as will most of those still left (and Ella will have got a recording deal within minutes of being kicked out) I really want Christopher to win though, because it will be funny.

He'll have a career, first he'll be in Celeb Big Brother, then I'm a Celeb, possibly Strictly or Dancing on Ice and pop into Loose Women occassionally.
He'll just be another one that has no talent, but people will buy into it because he was so 'entertaining' on X Factor, and he'll end up a bloody millionaire.
Nanfucker will probably go the same way.

Read back what I wrote cardiblach. I said there are singers in the charts that can't sing and that Rylan could be autotuned to sound as respectable as other chart acts. It's not like I said he would be a grammy winner!

So yes, just an album, not a career spanning decades. Comment was only meant to be a bit of fun - jeez
