About The Pub Charity Calendar

I work part time in a local pub where all the staff and regulars are good friends as well as colleagues.

A few weeks ago during a quiet Sunday afternoon an idea was born that we would make a charity calendar and sell it to raise money for our chosen charity this year. It was decided that we would do one of those "Calendar Girls" style jobbies and one guy who fancies himself as a bit of a photographer volunteered to organise it.

Today was the photo shoot and I have discovered that I was the only woman not asked to be involved. Women aged from 18 to 46 have had their photo taken. Slim ones, overweight ones, ones that have had children and their bodies show it, everyone.

I know it is a naff idea but I am actually really gutted not to be asked to get involved. I made it clear from the start that I was up for it.

I know I am a size 16 and not everyone would want to see me without all my clothes on but seriously, how much of a minger must everyone else here think I am? Sad

AIBU to be so upset about this?

I doubt it's because you are a minger but more that the guy is a wanker. Why don't you see it as a lucky escape...SERIOUSLY....you don't want to be stripping for charity...it's TACKY and all the locals will know what you look like.

The guy would have all the bad shots as well as the good...and you don't think he's going to delete them do you?

I know deep down that it was probably a lucky escape. It still hurts to be the ONLY woman not asked though. Some said no but at least they were asked Sad

Could it have been an accidental oversight?

You've had a narrow escape. This sort of tacky shyte can follow you around for years.

YANBU as it's annoying (and hurtful even if you don't care) to be overlooked, but YABU as those calenders are so overdone and boring and you're better off out of it! And they're disgusting! Make sure you buy one so that you can feel good about not being in it!

I know someone who did one and YIKES it was awful. You are lucky, lucky, lucky. And, the man who is taking the pictures, what's his motivation? Yuk.

Perhaps the photographer fancies you and doesn't want other men oggling your body.
