To think that as it's not even Halloween yet,

Christmas threads should fuck the fuck off to the Christmas topic, and when they get there, fuck off some more?!

angry

Can we deal with that man in the red suit at a later date please? I have no wish to be reminded of his approach until the 1st December TYVM.

I still have a Victorian boys costume to make, a Halloween party to organise, a DC's birthday to buy presents for, a Birthday party for said DC to arrange, and last but not least, a birthday cake to design and make for said DC.

So FECK ORF WITH TALK OF THE 'C' WORD!!!!

<<Stomps around after seeing another 'C' thread in the wrong place.>>

So who shat in your Christmas pudding and told you it was a 50p?

Nobody. I just don't do the 'C' word until after DS2's birthday. I don't even want to THINK about it. My DC's even know not to mention the 'C' word before December 1st or I turn all Grinchy.

Yet come 1st December, I am the most jolly, seasonal person I know. Goes totally overboard, house looks like a festive cross between Blackpool illuminations and a tinsel factory.

I just think it should be kept to the appropriate month, that's all!

HolyAutumnGoldBatman Sun 07-Oct-12 23:45:53

What did you do Last Christmas Couthy?

Inneedofbrandy Sun 07-Oct-12 23:46:18

YABVVVVU You are quite capable of hiding anything to do with christmas if you wish.

CouthyMowWearingOrange Sun 07-Oct-12 23:46:41

It's Halloween time in October, not anything else time. November is all about sorting DS2's birthday, and December is about the 'C' word.

I like my mind organised...

McHappyPants2012 Sun 07-Oct-12 23:47:47

my birthday is before christmas, every one is too busy for me in december so i think i have the right to post now

CouthyMowWearingOrange Sun 07-Oct-12 23:48:41

<<Waaaaah>>

It's NOT TIME YET!

I enjoy all the seasonal stuff AT THE RIGHT TIME!!!

Let me enjoy festooning my house with fake spider webs and rattling skeletons and zombie arms, and cooking up witch's fingers and brain jelly and frankenstein's bogies first!

CouthyMowWearingOrange Sun 07-Oct-12 23:50:39

I wouldn't be too busy for your birthday, McHappy. <<Strokes arm soothingly>>

It's precisely because DS2's birthday is so close to Christmas that I have become militant on sorting his birthday first, so that he gets a 'proper' birthday.

ScaryBOOAlot Sun 07-Oct-12 23:55:26

Every time I see xmas decorations in the shops, I almost turn into a Hulk - Grinch.

McHappyPants2012 Sun 07-Oct-12 23:58:28

i not really chritmas till Fairytale of New York in on the radio anyhow.

i gave up on my birthday a long time ago, the bitch of xmas has ruined all my birthdays

HolyAutumnGoldBatman Sun 07-Oct-12 23:59:06

I don't like Christmas this early either actually, but I just ignore it. I really enjoy the anger and fury of the people who can't just ignore it and have to come on to/start threads about Christmas to tell everyone they're so angry it isn't Christmas yet. grin

CouthyMowWearingOrange Mon 08-Oct-12 00:01:25

That's my favourite 'C' song too.

<<Coughs, and changes topic.>>

How close is your birthday? Are we talking days before/after? I think people are MEAN not to separate your birthday from Christmas. They are two totally different things.

And two totally different reasons for getting sloshed and making merry and eating nice food...

Inneedofbrandy Mon 08-Oct-12 00:02:11

I hate halloween, it's a pointless holiday unless your pagan and celebrate it like NYE. Its just another commercialised excuse to make us spend money. Christmas has a point (and I don't mean religious) It's to cheer us up in the middle of winter.

CouthyMowWearingOrange Mon 08-Oct-12 00:03:52

I can't ignore it on here - it's too in my face unless it's in the topic that I hide until December 1st.

I can avoid the seasonal aisle in a shop, I can use my iPod to drown out the music when it's too early, but unless I give up on MN from October through to 1st December never gonna happen!, I can't avoid it on here unless people post in the topic I have hidden.
