To be pissed off that he's cancelled on me twice in as many days?

He's clearly not feeling well. Why not postpone it for a week or two until he's feeling much better? Or could you drop round with a get-well cake?

He sounds ill.

Do you want to support him, or suspect he's not that into you?

And YANBU to be pissed off. But under the circs I'd cut him a bit of slack.

I remember DH going for a tooth extraction and blithely saying he'd drive himself there. He was quite put out when I insisted on driving him on the basis that he'd be in no fit state afterwards, as he couldn't imagine it could be that bad. In the event he was crying with pain and really glad not to drive, but beforehand he'd simply not imagined it would affect him.

Your man might just have done the same, not imagined how rotten he'd feel, and been motivated not by losing interest but by really wanting to see you and then finding two nights in a row that he really wasn't up to it. I say wait and see.

He's obviously unwell.

OR.... assume he's just had a medical procedure and feels dog rough. hmm

Assume he's got a headache and didn't want to let you down but in the event felt so rubbish he couldn't face it. It's annoying and a bit lame to say yes yes and then no at the last minute but it could have been well intentioned.

However if he cancels again on Sunday he's a dick losing interest.

No I'd assume he's ill

Well, my first thought would be that he's ill, like he says. But you know him better than me.

Been seeing a guy for 3 months - never once has he cancelled on me until yesterday.

We arranged to go out last night for dinner, day before he'd had an invasive proceedure at the hospital reknown for causing bad headaches the day after - on top of this he had a shit load of travelling to do yesterday. I asked him a few times if he was sure he still wanted to go out, he said he did. It got to 7pm last night, I'm ready to go, he texts me that he has a massive headache. I ask if he wants to cancel and he said yes but he would take me out tonight. Bit pissed off at him cancelling so late on but let it go as he did have valid reasons for feeling shit.

Today, texts this morning - all seemed fine. I've just done the kids dinner - I was all set to be picked up at 6 - he's cancelled on me again saying he feels a bit shit still and his mum cooked him dinner already but he'd take me out sunday!!

AIBU to be getting a bit pissed off by this point? he's usually so reliable. Should I assume he's losing interest?
