Crying in the middle of the point, 17-16 in the final set of the semifinal, do people have no sense???

It's the babys human right to be at the tennis Wink

I bet the mum prodded them to get the advantage for whoever she was supporting.

I vividly recall the tutting from the old biddies one Christmas when a baby started crying during the Watchnight Service!

I expect they were mortified though?

Oh Dear - not the best decision.

It'll be the sort of person who takes babies to the cinema and says they're "no problem".

cozie - wtachnight service is a bit different to the Olympic tennis semi though!

Maybe they thought it would be worse if they sprinted for the exit. We get that at our church during weddings. People who know the church go out in to the porch and keep going to outside. People who don't stop in the porch not realising that the acoustics make it a fab echo chamber and the stairs going up to the balcony allow the sound to travel back in to the church - just louder!

That is v selfish, but doesn't surprise me tbh.

How bloody selfish. I feel for those players who've spent years preparing.

followed by an immediate break in serve and Federer winning the match.

Did the TV cameras home in on them accusingly? Grin

I've been to the cinema 6 times with my 16 week old baby. I can promise you he's not made a peep during the film and afterwords several people have commented they didn't know he was there when we were leaving so get to fuck with the 'sort of person who takes their baby to the cinema nonsense.

Salmotrutta · 03/08/2012 16:52

Or did the umpire say "Remove that child forthwith"?

Report
StunningCunt · 03/08/2012 16:53

Unfortunately the TV cameras did not highlight the guilty party. However I'm hoping they will be in the newspapers tomorrow, with 'do you know this person' demands.

Seriously though - it's not like the baby would have appreciated the finer points of a back-hand volley.

Crikey.... How dim! And how much are those tickets going for?

MrsKeithRichards, you're lucky - dh and I got a babysitter last year to go and see a film which was consequently ruined by a bloody baby crying all the way through it - parents made no attempt to leave either Angry.

nailak · 03/08/2012 19:36

yes all babies should be shut away from public family events

Olympia2012 · 03/08/2012 19:37

Olympic tennis a family event? Hmm don't think so, not much in it for kids is there?

MrsKeith - you are merely lucky that your baby hasn't cried, taking a baby ro the cinema is a selfish thing to do as they could kick off at any time. A cinema is no place for a baby when people pay money to watch a film.

GhostShip · 03/08/2012 19:39

nailak there's a bit of a difference 'public family events' and an important match where concentration is key.

CheshireDing · 03/08/2012 19:40

Is it possible they had the tickets before the baby was even conceived? (knows nothing about tennis emoticon).

I just know my friends bought their Olympic tickets before they knew they were pregnant and initially babes in arms were not allowed at the Olympics.
