AIBU to want to take my sons to the swimming pool without them having to listent to loud and repeated swearing? Went to the pool today with DS1 and DS2 and they went in to a cubicle to change- I realised too late that the cubicles on either side were occupied by teenagers who proceeded to have a conversation with each other frequently puncuated by rather disgusting language.

YANBU
You could complain to the staff about their language, though I don'[t know what they would do about it.
I usually end up talking really loud and distracting the DCs

Ill trump you...took DD and a friend (age 8)to swimming pool that has a football pitch outside. Coming out of pool an adult footballer got his wang out and urinated right there on the pitch! Complained to leisure centre but apparently not their pitch so nothing they could do!!

There's nothing you can or should be able to do about it. We can't ban everything that offends somebody's sensitivities, there would be no freedom to do, say or wear anything.

People swear, don't make a big deal out of it and they probably won't even notice.

Honestly I've been a Mum so long teenagers don't bother me much. My oldest is now 23 and I remember not wanting to say anything to teens who were up to no good back then, I was a bit intimidated. Now on kid number 3 who is 7, if I heard them in cubicles shouting bad language I'd have probably shouted back to let them know that theres little kids changing out here could you mind your language a bit please. I have found most teens to be quite nice and compliant, even the big burly ones who like to be seen as tough. I have tried to teach my kids theres a time and place for everything. I know my boys swear, they are also respectful enough not to do it in front of me or little kids. Mine would have stopped immediately if they knew little kids were present or if you let them know there were little kids.
