It's like it's been written by a 12 year old. Holy Smoke!! Is anyone actually enjoying it? Be honest.

I'm supposed 2 be reading it 4 'book club' that I've recently joined. I've heard lots of bad reviews. Where did all the hype come from?

I wasn't impressed to be honest

Is it really that bad? I've seen rave reviews.

I've brought it expecting it to be brilliant, I'm yet to get past chapter 1, as I'm not gripped. And I loved twilight.

YANBU a bag of shite. Reminds me of the troll postings here where swinging or being a sex addict is written about in detail in the hope of getting titillating replies.

Wasn't it originally twilight fanfiction? But now the names have been changed.

It's OK - not going to win any literary prizes - its a bit of a mix between flick chick / mills and boon ( both on acid though).

Easy reading I suppose ...

We are reading it for our book club too - may bring out some feminist issues on the other hand we just might say 'nah - NEXT !

So not the sequel to 40 shades of green, then, featuring feisty red haired colleens and a hilariously repressive priest

YANBU. I was a bit gutted when I came to the end and realised there were more books in the series and I would have to read those to find out what this guy's ishoos were. I then quickly decided life was far to short and I didn't actually care what happened!

Never watched twilight (other than the first ten minutes of the film which I thought was utter shit), and never read any of the books, nor was I aware of there being any connection between this and the Grey books.

I was on book 3 by the time I read about the connection, and I actually dont think the books are that bad. You could ditch most of the sex, condense it down into one book, and have a better book I suppose, as it does waffle a bit in places and the sex is very repetetive at times.. I did find myself skipping over most of the shags as it got boring Grin.

I expected it to be really good. It took me ages to get through it because I just couldn't get into it. I don't know where all the hype came from.

ok shoot me loved it read all 3 books in less than 24hrs
not for everyone

It was actually written and posted on a twilight fan fiction forum before the author took it off and changed 'Bella and Edward's' name. Soooo that's how similar it is to the book Grin. A load of tosh imo!

I expected to hate it but read it, loved it and ran to the 24hr tesco to buy the sequels :o
I hated twilight too btw, but really love fanfiction... Blush

Oh no, I requested a copy through the book giveaway and received it this morning (thank you MN Smile I have been looking forward to starting it, I hope it's not too dreadful.

Well, I'm reading it on my kindle and am enjoying it - the characterisation is weak (Grey has been a dom for years but the day he meets the female lead he instantly has vanilla sex with her and sleeps with her - two firsts?? How liekly is that?), but the plot line is good - it's different, innit?! Grin, the sex is pretty well written, adn I want to know all his ishoos too! :)

Appallingly written yet oddly compelling (similar to Twilight; possibly even worse).
The second and third books are dross.

I quite enjoyed it, but yes, it is a bit repetitive in terms of the sex, but I suppose there are only so many ways you can describe it really!
