Ularooo! Neighbours memories

Does anyone remember when Lucy sneaked a bit of Ayers Rock home and then a curse befell Ramsay Street? Every time something new happened, she'd wail 'Ularoooo!'

Or wondering what lamingtons were and saying "you dag" to your friends?

My big crush was Paul, even though he only had a couple of facial expressions.

Do you remember Brett who had a pet rat that he was a bit too close to if you ask me. The rat featured in one of Neighbours marvellous wobbly dream sequences, it was crawling over bits of cheese and Brett was calling it's name.

...tumbleweed, I know.

Grin

Scott and Charlene's wedding has to be the best ever neighbours memory!

I can also remember crying when Kerry died.

And I still don't know what lamingtons are.

Oh and my favourite scene was Home and Away where Bobbie's head appeared out of the fridge to Ailsa. You just don't see that level of storyline these days.

Love retro Aussie soap memories, .

Ah the rat rings a bell. Can't remember Brett though, we are talking eighties now aren't we? That's the only era I know.

I'd forgotten Kerry, she was ace, Harold's daughter and Joe's partner? I think lamingtons turned out to be spongy things with jam

Yep late 80's, very early 90's that's when Neighbours was at it's finest. Grin
I loved Des and Daphne, I used to wish they were my parents. do you remember when Granny Helen went on retreat to the Bungle Bungles (sp)? It caused much hilarity amongst me and my friends, we'd never heard of a place with such a 'funny' name. (I grew up in a small town).

Brett was one of Cheryl Stark's twins, 90s rather than 80s, i think.

Des killed Daphne. In his desperation to get help, he tripped over the life support cables and unplugged her. I remember it vividly. No one else seemed to have noticed, though.

Sorry am on a roll now, and Cody Willis with her masses of curly hair and very manly voice.
Damn, why is Wikipedia down on the day I fancy immersing myself in past storylines!

When Henry was knocked unconcious at a party in Neighbours and had to be revived as he wasn't breathing.

Also can anyway tell me how many children Paul Robinson has got and by how many women?

I think I'm too old for that then.
What was Helen's martial art called? It was really annoying.

Didn't Paul Robinson date both of the Alessi twins? The dirty dog.

Report
CamberwickGreen · 18/01/2012 13:48

Well it's good wikipedia is down, we can test our memories Smile

Cody Willis was in The Slap the other day, there was another actress who played Cody before her too, they were both good.

I loved D&D, she was a stripper wasn't she? It took them bloody ages to get together.

Dis and Diphne. Grin

And - obviously- Bouncer's Dream (double Grin)

Also, how many times did Madge/Harold die/disappear and come back from the dead?

Used to massively fancy Brad (was it Brad? - he married Natalie Imbrugularooo. Not in real true life, obviously).

And what was it with Helen constantly sodding off to the bungle bungles?

BigBadBear · 18/01/2012 14:00

I still watch Neighbours. Does that make me sad?

But how can anyone resist the programme that gave us Plain Jane Superbrain, showed Scott close to death because he'd been pushed off a cliff (by Paul, I think) but had forgotten to hide the rope, and managed to use three different actresses to play one character (Lucy Robinson)?

Genius.
