AIBU?

to find DH's nascent moustache strangely... compelling?

DH has slow-growing facial hair which is a bit sparse and patchy. He doesn't have to shave very often and he could never grow a beard. After a week he looks like most guys seem to after a couple of days.

He's doing this 'movember' thing, but hadn't shaved for a week beforehand anyway (I was away over half term), so had a head start. He has the clear beginnings of a moustache, especially when he's freshly shaved otherwise.

I find moustaches... well, they're not appealing to me. At all. Even slightly. But I am fascinated by DH's effort. The ability to change his appearance so easily! Even if for the worse Wink

He wants to shave it off but AIBU to want him to keep going? Maybe with some 'tasche wax?

mine is growing one too. never seen him in one before. grows stubble, frequently but that's it. am also finding it compelling. tell him he has to, be competetive. or how much you are looking forward to having sex with it him

Yep my husband just started a beard. It's just got to the slightly soft stage. I quite like it.....and I hate beards!

GAH! They're gross! Germ catchers! Bleugh!

Your grisly fascination with his 'tash is not healthy IMO.

Where would it end?

Kev Keegan perm?

Francis Rossi thin ponytail? (for GreenEyes Wink)

Resist now, or you might as well just give yourself over to The Dark Side and foo man choos.

I think they are gross on other people! But I am wondering if it adds to cunnilingus finding it... compelling! It draws the eye! It's a whole new DH!

Dh is also doing it. I am awaiting the end of the month where he will resemble a bad porn actor circa 1970 uttering a line such as...

"I've come to fix your washing machine" complete with mouth movements for aforementioned sentence a few seconds later Grin

tethers is it just a tache or is it a whole facial hair 'thing'? I can cope with them more if they are attatched to more hair iyswim. Just a tache on its own is... well, it's eliciting a strong response from me Wink

Now all of a sudden she's not talking to me Hmm

Blush at spelling it foo man choo, I meant fu-manchu.

I was having a look at <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=john+travolta+pelham+123&hl=en&biw=1146&bih=718&tbm=isch&tbnid=4ts_s0Ly8Ulv0M:&imgrefurl=www.9u8.org/2011/10/john-travolta-loves-being-the-bad-guy.html&docid=J06zrVAsyd4MEM&imgurl=www.9u8.org/site_images/2011-10-14/travolta.jpg&w=309&h=400&ei=mYK0TreMFM6b8gODmbj5BA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=110&vpy=260&dur=1015&hovh=255&hovw=197&tx=133&ty=189&sig=112379514407926695039&page=1&tbnh=160&tbnw=137&start=0&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">John Travolta in Pelham 123, DH reckons it's not a fu-manchu in the true sense because it's not growing into a long bit off his face.

I think he's being a pedantic twat...

I'm not BU am I?

my DH is a terror for not shaving, so no he looks grizzly, that said all the staff at work are not shaving, and my admin said November is a nightmare month because of this, as in 90% are male and she said you will look at the person, no you no them but not place them, my last job was 90% female and we all knew who was who in a moustache :)

BF is also doing the Movember thing. Won't see him until next week when it'll probably be a 2 week toothbrush (not a great look). In the meantime I'm thoroughly enjoying singing the YMCA song whenever he calls & following it up with 'Eh! Eh! Calm down, calm down' in a cod Scouse accent.

I posted about this on Facebook. I'm absolutely not a fan of facial hair but I'm finding all the Movember Moustaches rather dashing Blush

DH is sporting one too. He dug out a photo of his dad circa 1990 last night, when he had a moustache. They are one and the same person. It's frighteningly uncanny.

I hate moustaches and beards. DH is going to be relegated to the spare room shortly for fear he may 'approach' me with a ginger caterpillar stuck to his face. It will be like getting a come-on from Ned Flanders Confused

My DH decided about two yeas ago he was rowing a beard. Yes a FUCKING BEARD! Dirty crumbcatching things that trap germs with it.

I told him that if he dared grow it I would stop kissing him or having sex with him. DH just says my face my choice.

Once it had grown a bit and the fact that he does still shave his cheeks and keeps it looking neat and tidy. Damn but I love that rugged hairy look of his. And have even told him that if he dares shave it. I will not kiss him or have sex with him Blush

So YANBU to find an odd compulsion to his facial hair.

Dh is doing Movember as well. He normally has a lovely stubble look going on and a shaved head.

I could cope with the moustache growth if he wasn't also growing his hair to 'balance it out' because he doesn't want to look stupid. His hair grows outwards in a kind of grey-not-quite-afro effort. I'm not sure he's achieving his non-stupid aim.

I am so glad my DH isn't doing Movember, my brother is though, so I'll be laughing at him a lot. Not keen on moustaches Confused
