To use a shopping trolley instead of a push chair for my ds2

to take my two year old ds, to the Sainsbo's. I stand him upright/verticle in a two wheeled shopping trolley, given to me by my gran. Its a rigid framed handle and he stands up and grips his little hands onto the handle. He enjoys it, but I get funny looks and sometimes feel embarrassed.

When I saw the title, I thought you meant a supermarket shopping trolley because seeing children in the part where I put my groceries makes me a bit cross.

Years ago, I had a basket on wheels (that shows my age) and my two DCs loved to be wheeled to the shops in it.
Anyway, it was quicker to get to the shops that way. They had to walk home of course. If you both have a good time, ignore all the people looking. They are probably wondering why they had not thought of doing it!

Fun! Imaginative and original! All essential ingredients for a great childhood!
Hope u spend time at sainsbos looking at weird fish on the fish counter, smelling fresh baked bread and searching for exotic fruit!
Lifes an adventure!

YANBU - I used to use one of those stationary boxes on wheels and DS loved sitting in it on a balnket.

On the return the food was in the box, DS on top - usually eating the food - with the blanket.

Forget everyone else - they're just jealous they didn't think of it. Grin

What a laugh.

Does he sit down and you put all the shopping on his head!

He has the shopping around his legs but its all soft produce. Sometimes I put smaller items in his pockets.

I saw an old woman with one of those once, it had a hole at the front at the bottom and had a little dog in it looking out!

No its a good idea.

I dont drive and going shopping and getting enough to fit under my buggy costs me a fortune.

If I was to go on Dragons den my product would be a customised shopping trolley in nice colours of course, maybe a garden bench like cushion for child to sit in main bit on way to shops then they could sit in the normal kiddy seats on the way back, air pumped tyres for added comfort and easier to steer.
