Too early?

I have no-one to argue with about it as I live with just DD, who is 3, and will welcome the horror that is my idea of Halloween fun.

I love Halloween, can I, can I?

I need validation Sad

Go for it. Someone near us was covering the outside of their house with Christmas lights this week, I bet they have them switched on before the month is out. At least halloween is only next month.

If the two of you have a little fun for a few weeks longer then what's the harm?

I bought dd's witch costume yesterday. Loads of choice compared to the dregs we usually get. Halloween hair clips and everything have been bought :)

I've already tried on my Halloween Outfit Blush, haven't put the red contacts in yet, but the corset and wings have been worn, though I did wait till the 1st September to do so

I think you can plan...

Personally I think there should be one celebratory occasion per month. It's exciting and a good excuse to decorate, make something nice and have a bit of fun. There is jack squib to celebrate in September!

Maybe start trying out some Halloween cakes, biscuits or pumpkin recipes in advance. Or plan to make a costume and get the kids involved in selecting what sort.

What, already?! It's not even the middle of September. We were in Poundland a week or so and dd1 sagely remarked "those Halloween things are out very early, aren't they?"

I love decorating for, well any occasion, really, but I don't like to do it until quite near the time.

Can I join in your Jack Shit celebrations this month Sooty? We can dress up as marrows and runner beans and hold a harvest festival with lots of scrummy cider punch.

We have a few permanent Halloween decorations that stay out all year (I'm a bit of an old goth at heart), but I would love the life size butler and he'd stay out all year! He's amazing

It's not too early to start planning. Shirley has a thread for ideas if you want some inspiration or to share? I'll find a link...

I have all my halloween decorations organised.... seeing as DH will only let me have them out one month a year.

But nah, I'd rather save them so that it's more special in October.

BTW- TK MAXX have some great halloween wreaths right now.

Hate Halloween. Even if I liked it, it would completely spoil the magic-it is one day only 31st Oct.

Oooh bethelbeth what are the wreaths like.

Home Sense has some Hallowe'en decorations (and they carry alot of the same stock as TKMaxX)

Little silvery glittery spiders made of bells. Cute yet creepy Wink

Home Sense is TK Maxx- just a different arm.

The wreaths were either pumpkins and candy corn or autumnal leaf wreaths- very pretty.

I also got 2 black glittery owls. A Spider that holds sweeties and a spare halloween costume for dd (She was an awesome Lion last year- I need to work really hard to beat it!!!)
