AIBU?

To dislike the presenter on CBeebies Iconicles

According to the Cbeebies website he is meant to be hot totty to entice the Mummys and presumably then they ensure Iconicles is watched by their children....

Don't mind the show so much but the presenter [Nat?] is irritating. He is so stage school and you can just tell that he thinks a little too highly of himself. Not at all endearing or natural like the beloved Sid and Andy.

He is, imo, the male Katie of Cbeebies.

AIBU in my possibly irrational dislike of a children's tv presenter?

Well according to the CBeebies blog on the website one reason he was chosen as presenter was to be a "hit with the Mummies".

Lucky us Hmm

I thought "Justin Bieber" when I saw him. There will definitely some who fancy him (12 year olds?) but not my type.

I like Chris on Green Balloon Club. Lovely ginge :)

He's too much like a Ken doll for me. Now, Mr. Bloom...

Is he really supposed to be for the mums? I teach kids who look older than he does (not that I'd fancy any of them either of course!)... now, if they got Matt Baker back on children's TV that would be different...

and no, YANBU but I don't think he's quite as bad as Katie, that seems quite difficult!

Okay, enough about his blonde bland looks...

Don't you all find his stagey, over exaggerated acting really annoying?

He just seems the personofication of over confident, inordinately pleased with himself head boy/golden child.

The male Katie really imo.

AIBU and extremely harsh/unfair or does my dislike resonate with anyone else?

How is it that I have five Dcs, including three under 10s, and yet have no idea who these people are? What happened to thingy and thingy? oh and thingy? (I shall stop now before I mention Edd the Duck or Gordon the Gopher!) I do find Justin Ubiquitous-Man to be a tad creepy sometimes - not sure why, he just is :-S definitely NOT totty!

Yanbu - and as for being totty.....err...nah. He looks like a girl.

He's cute but certainly not hot totty.

Not totty... he is annoying, looks about 12, and even DS grumps when the programme is on.

Thank god for Chris from Show Me, Show Me Grin

Hmmm I wouldn't consider him hot totty at all Hmm

But my DD age 4 loves the programme.

The way he raises his eyebrows is overacting bleurgh. Him and that Kerwhizz guy should get a flat together.

My DD loves it too.

He most certainly is not totty. He's far too young. He looks about 17.

Chris Jarvis - hotty
Sid - hotty
Iconicles presenter - little boy
Kerwhizz presenter - ridiculously annoying. cannot stand him!

Oh he's not a hotty, he's a wee boy. And on the subject of iconicles, why, in the name of the wee man, did they call the squirrel Skitter? That's a my mum Scots word for diarrhea! I snarf slightly every time I hear it!

He's not really called Nat. He's called Gavin if you read the credits. For some reason I find that highly amusing - clearly Gavin is not nearly stage-school-sounding enough :o

Nail on head re male version of Katie

He is easier on the eye though than Katie.

I find her really grating.

I don't know, I'm just not sure Mr Bloom would be dirty enough Blush

Report
CristinadellaPizza · 07/10/2011 09:50

Yes he does Galaxy! Actually if it weren't for the fact that they have different accents, I could swear they were the same person.

I don't like blonde men with rictus grins
