Just got my DC's end of yr reports and I'm sooooo proud!

DD1 yr2 "works quietly and conscientiously" "is a sensible, mature girl who is always polite and respectful. She is keen to help and caring towards others. As a result she is a popular member of the class. She has a well developed sense of fairness."

and it's not a fluke....

DS1 yr5 "is a popular, cheerful and confident member of the class" "He is sensible and polite" "He is an extremely good role model for the other children in the class"

I've got to be doing something right, yes? I'm so friggin proud of them right now, I could burst!

Wow well done, it's a great feeling. Maybe I can boast (and confess) too. My daughter had a letter from her school and I had a feeling it could be about prize giving so I opened it (she's not home yet!!) and she has won a prize - I am so proud of her and know she really deserves it. Grin

I managed to reseal the letter and won't tell her I know what it is Wink

YANBU! And you are clearly doing something right.

My DD "sets an example to the rest of her year with her behaviour".

She's just finished reception and got all 7, 8 and 9 profile scores.

So proud the teacher said she works so hard and really challenges herself.

She's an amazing, tiny little girl!

Yey, what fab comments! I was so proud too, it's nice to have a boast! It said about my ds in y1 that he "understands that other children don't always find learning as easy as he does and he has been very kind, offering to help them" And about dd in Reception who isn't 5 yet dd "has been a sheer joy" "you are a superstar" "keep working hard you are a very clever little girl!"
Hurrah for our little ones!

Thanks everyone! Well done to your DC too. Isn't it just lovely? It makes me so happy to know that they are liked iyswim. They both did slightly above average academically, which I'm pleased about, but to hear things like that just means the world. I don't mind how smart they are or how talented they are but I really want them to be 'good' people. I'm not sure I can take credit for it, because I think they were born 'good' like we all are, but I am proud that so far I don't seem to have f*ed them up!

I invite everyone to come and have a little (big) boast about their wonderful DC.....Well done to all the Mums and Dads that have helped them on their way!

YANBU. It's lovely to be proud of your dc. However, I would say judging by friends facebook status updates at the moment you are not alone. Although I must admit I did the same when ds2 got his 1st swimming certificate.

Well, I hope I'm not alone! I hope that every child got something on their report to feel proud about. I won't share my feelings at the school (I always just say "they did ok thanks for asking" to the people cheeky enough to ask!) I'm just pleased, that's all and wanted to share with people who would understand. I don't understand why some people don't like hearing about children doing well. I don't want to hear details constantly about other people's children but an occasional boast is fine!

They ARE really great comments, I'd say they're worthy of a boast.

DD starts school this September, I'd love for her to get coments like that - you're most definately doing something right!

Smile those are all lovely comments! Can I tell mine about DS, too? I have always tried to impress upon him the importance of being kind: Teacher says he is friendly, mature and kind and a pleasure to teach. Smile
