AIBU?

To refuse to pick up a parcel and demand my money back?

I'm really annoyed about this.

I bought something for my baby from a seller on ebay, I paid within 24 hours for the item plus postage. Two weeks later I have still not received the item but yesterday received a card through the door saying postman could not deliver a package as appropriate postage had not bee paid.

In order to collect the item I must pay around £2.50 which includes an admin fee.

The Item cost about a fiver and the postage cost £2.50 would easily have covered the cost of postage as it really didn't weigh much.

I know it's not much money but it's £2.50 more than I wanted to spend and i'm really nobbed off that this seller clearly didn't take it to the post office to send as you would normally do with a parcel and just stuck some stamps on and crossed their fingers.

If I do collect it, can I ask the seller to reimburse or is it too late. Should I contact them and tell them what's happened.

WWYD?

File an item not received dispute via the eBay resolution centre and get a full refund of what you initially paid, leave the seller negative feedback.

You dont query it with eBay, you file a dispute for item not received.

The seller didn't put enough postage on whether on purpose or not it is their responsibility to get the item to you, they have not done that.

The seller I doubt will not refund you what you have to pay to collect it so you have to weigh up wether or not the item is worth it.

Ask them to send you the extra money by PayPal so that you can collect the item. If they refuse, then file a dispute.

Contact the seller - they may well be mortified that they haven't paid sufficient postage.

If you have no joy, then file a dispute.
