I wish people wouldn't put my name through apps like these.

Right now I have a news feed that says "is XXX a huge backstabber? Click here to unlock (my counsin's) answer"

(I haven't looked at the answer by the way in case it turns out that the answer is yes)

I mean, what's the point of doing these sort of apps? Does she want to offend me?

These things are often scams and viruses.

It may be a viral application - there are a lot of them around. There was one recently asking 'Who spies on me?'

Don't open it.

I think these apps just take all the names in your 'friends' list then just insert the names randomly into questions'. i.e., your name isn't entered by your cousin.

Viral applications.. i did not know there was such a thing? Is farmville one too? I used to get a lot of those requests? Who has the time to build virtual fences and feed virtual animals!

I think Farmville is genuine but to me, a daft timewaster.

what about "who is better looking?". Someone I barely know has picked me over someone else on that one.

just having a good time blocking apps now that i know about viruses!

Going back a few weeks I have my cousin's husband asking of himself "Is xxx truly your friend" Answer is of course, no, i am not. I am your wife's cousin and i barely know you but each time we have got along well enough each time we have met.

And another cousin putting my name through an app about believing in UFOs! More spam??

Not sure about the UFO one.

THere are others along the lines of "OMG! This girl killed herself after she read this FB status" or "shocking video of [blah]" that spread viruses too. A recent one purported to have photos of Osama Bin Laden's body. I guess they know that a lot of people will click on something like that :(
