Am really unwell due to having my first period in months (feeling sick, tired, dizzy and have pains in my tummy). Is later than I thought and is too late to call in sick, besides I hate letting people down.

Any miracle cures you can think of? Feeling a bit desperate!

Thanks!

I would get a hot water bottle, have some paracetamol and ibuprofen, cup of tea, and ring in sick anyway.

Just say 'I'm sorry I couldn't ring in 2 hours (or whatever it is) before my shift starts but I wasn't feeling so unwell then, I will ring in again tomorrow to either let you know when I will be back, or to let you know I will be off a bit longer, Thanks'

Shift starts at 9pm and I have to ring in by noon, so I do have some recovery time.

Don't usually suffer when it comes to 'laies issues' so this is all new to me (normally just have to eat lots of chocolate). I'll shall do as suggested above, cheers guys.

Do some exercise, and take some paracetamol. Exercise really does make a difference and reduces the cramps. Even if it is just a brisk walk around the block.

You have to phone in 9 hours before your shift starts?

Oh my word. What happens if you break your arm at 7pm? Do you have to go to work first, then get it plastered after your shift?

How bizarre!

Sorry, thats not helping. Hot bath, feminax, wheat bag or hot water bottle.
