I am fuming, my parents upgraded their tv at the weekend, dad asks 'how do I do this (record a film, while watching another programme). Asked for the manual, blank look. spent 1.5hrs on the phone ON HOLD!! To find out that the info is only available on line or one has to request a manual, in writing!!

Boiling point was the comment 'can't they just play with the remote and get a feel for it'

I don't think it is unresonable to expect a manual, to operate the equipment, and not be informed 'but we are a green company, you have to write and reqest the manual'!?

BUT you sold the equipment how do I use it......so we wont pay until we have the info, then.....

Can you not just download and print the manual off for them? I can't really see the problem...I unerstan many elerly people are not online...but it's not something to get worke up about.

I don't live with them, otherwise I would look it up.

Still doesn't deal with the disconnected calls and their assumation that everyone has the internet and a printer.

How can they sell something to anyone, but not give them instructions on how to use the product?

Is it a V+ box? There's some help videos they can watch. I've just checked.

Tell them to press 'home' and then 'Help and Info'. There are help videos they can watch that shows how to use the remote and other things.

Well, this is what happens when everyone obsesses about being green and doesn't care about customer service. I've seen it coming for awhile.

Do they have a neighbour or anyone who can download the manual for them? Or can you do it and put it in the post?
