We are all going to Turkey in July, her dc dh and my dc and dh.To keep costs down sis and I have been buying some new clothes off ebay.I called her to ask her opinion on a few things I have been watching, and she said she really liked them and that they would suit me.So I bidded for them only to find that she had bidded against me! and had won them.So AIBU to be slightly miffed? I have told her I am a little p.off and she just said she forgot I was watching them, and that there is plenty more which I could go for. mmmmm

YANBU to be a little annoyed. But she may be telling the truth as well.

I had a friend who liked ismilar stuff to me and we both bought things for our sons on ebay. We both knew each others user ids and had a rule that if we saw the other had already bid then we wouldn't.

Could that work? I think its not so easy to see the id of other bidders now though so maybe not but if you can this might help

She is a bigger than me so I can only assume she is going to squeeze into them!
O well I will forget about it as she does not usually do anything like this so maybe did forget.

YANBU, tell her that now you have seen them you dont like them and are glad you didnt waste your money, but i suppose it is a bit of a compliment that she likes your taste.

One of the problems really now that all bidders identities are hidden.

Ha get all excited about something hideous and let her buy it! :)

How did you know she had won the items. The bidders IDs are kept quiet. Or did she show you them.

I'd be a bit peed off but not overly so. Must say liking Jonnyfans suggestion Grin

We talk most days and I had told her i was outbid on a few things and she then said " o does it have this and is it that colour etc and she said i have won one just like that" So went round to see her and she had won 3 of the items I wanted!

The winning bidders name will show at the end of an auction but not during.
