chocolate chip cookies, shortbread and digestive biscuits, when the house really needs a good tidy and there is a mountain of clean washing to put away. AND...to spend the rest of the evening covering half of the digestives in melted choc (whilst sipping a massive large g&t), rather than do needed chores?

Still cooling - but it's a well trusted reecipe that always comes out awesome.

Alas, I'm on a sodding diet, they are a thank you to someone for doing a little job for me! But since I have to give them to someone, I suppose I need to check the quality...

175g Butter
350g sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 eggs
125g plain flour
1 level teaspoon baking powder
50g cocoa
100g chocolate chips

Cream butter & sugar, add eggs & vanilla, fold in flour, cocoa & chocolate chips

I use a large baking tray lined with greaseproof & a medium hottish oven until it?s sort of solid
