That forced northern accent, the crap miming he does when he sings.

Is his hair real?

Strange but it is on at the moment and I know that I will be humming that song all the time now....

marmaladetwatkins Thu 31-Mar-11 10:27:07

He is an idiot. He is young but old. He is probably only about 12 but they've done him up to look 70. Why? Why couldn't we have a sexy coolio farmer like Jimmy Docherty instead of this silly dolt?

ProfYaffle Thu 31-Mar-11 10:28:22

Oh Lordy, dd2 loves him. Sadly we have a Garden Centre called Blooms nearby, she's bitterly disappointed every time we go and it's just a shop with plants in it.

marmaladetwatkins Thu 31-Mar-11 10:29:39

Yes, DS seems to love him and I can't fathom why. He is a dullard and creepy to boot.

LadyWithNoManors Thu 31-Mar-11 10:30:08

Yes the weird gardener bloke - very strange

CrapBag Thu 31-Mar-11 11:09:14

DS loves this programme (that the bloody song stays in my head all day to). He is a bit weird and why does his mouth go to the side sometimes? Its irritating.

deaconblue Thu 31-Mar-11 11:12:28

YABU we love Mr Bloom - he is cheerful and does funny songs according to dd

CrapBag Thu 31-Mar-11 11:13:47

I do think he is good with the children though (although it makes my teeth itch that they get called tiddlers). He is a natural, unlike bloody Cerrie and Alex.

sweetandtenderhooligan Thu 31-Mar-11 11:16:13

LadywithnoManors you took the words out of my mouth. I cannot stand him for those very reasons. The accent is not convincing and his miming is just dreadful ("meet the veggies!").

Awful.

bristolcities Thu 31-Mar-11 11:19:53

I am much more inclined to agree with this thread than the ones calling him 'hot' he isn't. He is creepy and story lines are weird.

Quenelle Thu 31-Mar-11 11:23:19

I liked the idea of this show when I saw the trailers but it hasn't lived up to its promise at all. Nothing about it has so far attracted DS's attention anyway.

And Mr Bloom? No, I definitely wouldn't.

Narketta Thu 31-Mar-11 11:29:36

I think he's really creepy too!

He looks like an extra from trainspotting here

architien Thu 31-Mar-11 11:35:14

Mr Bloom is the bee's knees. I think it's a fantastic wee program. My 2 year old and I watch it together. I like his accent, the veggies are great and I think that there's nothing wrong with what he's wearing...he's wearing old clothes to go to the allotment folks not out to dinner!

pinkthechaffinch Thu 31-Mar-11 11:36:29

He is lush and I love the way he interacts with the veggies.

hollyoaks Thu 31-Mar-11 11:37:12

yabu we love Mr Bloom and the veggies

EricNorthmansMistress Thu 31-Mar-11 11:53:55

DS loves him, it's good to have a regional accent and without the hair he is actually quite fit, though clearly miniature next to Andy.

Lilasmummy Wed 29-Jul-15 17:51:09

I'm so glad im not the only one who thinks he's a bit of a creep, he should fit in nicely with the hollyoaks bunch.

thecatsarecrazy Wed 29-Jul-15 17:59:06

You so would

thecatsarecrazy Wed 29-Jul-15 18:01:58

Could be worse

GreyAndGoldInTheMeadow Wed 29-Jul-15 18:02:49

Can't be many of us though seen as this thread started in 2011 and still only has 20 posts.

MagicMojito Wed 29-Jul-15 18:06:36

Yabu. Mr Bloom is Delicious.

TheTravellingLemon Wed 29-Jul-15 18:12:12

I like that you considered this carefully for over 4 years and then decided he was a creep grin. It implies a decent amount of research and contemplation. I approve wink.

The5DayChicken Wed 29-Jul-15 18:17:27

I have a thing for Mr Bloom blush
