Sunday eggy bread is made with cheapo thick sliced white bread ONLY.

NOT, seeded batch loaf stuff garnished with the dust from an angels wings from the poncy mac ponce bread shop. Who on earth buys poncy bread to be soaked in eggs and fried ? Who ? Angry

It was bloody orrid n all Sad

I agree with Cheeky - eggy bread is yuck. So I ppose you are right, use cheap bread because it's a waste of nice bread.

Fear not cheekylittlesox, I used spray oil. The sausages which were poncymc ponce were very good quality,in fact I patted piggys brother on the way into the shop Wink even I won't eat cheap sausages. I am a sausage snob

I am a sausage snob too. We get ours from the farm shop. Mil thinks Richmond Sausages are perfectly acceptable though

The sausages actually aren't that expensive, we get them from a farm shop jobby. After seeing all the shit that goes into cheap sausages, eyelids. snout etc I won't bloody touch them, don't mind cheapo bacon tbh but again isn't much more to get it from the shop.

The Sicillian ones are fab in Jamie's Pregnant Jools pasta thing - I've just ordered some so we can have that next week.

Bacon/sausage sandwiches and eggy bread have to be white, sliced bread. Warburtons or possibly Hovis for me

For eggy bread, Nutella sarnies and bacon sarnies, it MUST be cheap white sliced.

While we're at it, it is wrong, is it not, to toast the bread for a bacon sarnie? DP thinks I'm pitiable and misguided for insisting on untoasted, but of course he's the wrong 'un.

That si a waste of decent nice bread.

Cheap white bread is the only right bread for eggy bread or fried bread.

Oh no. Definitely no toasting for bacon sarnies.

Adding Egg Mayo to the bacon is lovely though.

I only tried Debbie and Andrews because DBrother has to have Gluten Free and we haven't had anything but them and Black Farmer since because they're so much nicer.

The Sicillian ones aren't GF though for some reason
