No you aren't.. I had forgotten about it and now won't be able to sleep with excitement at the thought of all those scallops on pea purée.....

And cringing when Greg Wallace smacks his lips and does that wide eyed 'ummmmmmmmm."

YABU

They are have got a new strapline 'let's get fatter'

Both are fat twat heads.

So it doesn't get tougher than this.

are Michel and Monica in it?

I think Michel is lovely and I just so admire Monica... she is a fierce woman!

No - thats a different programme. This is John and Greg tormenting amateurs with a griddle.

I think they have modelled it on the Australian version which I have seen.

MadameDefarge · 15/02/2011 23:32

I mean, sure loads of others have seen it too, usually on the food channel late in the evening, when I finish service.

The 1st time I watched the Aussie version I was like Noooo Uk is better but I have now changed my mind and much prefer the Aussie version! We need a bit of a spruce up!

Oooh I am excited too, thanks for the reminder!

Pancake LOL at scallops on pea puree. I'll see that and raise you a rack of lamb that's raw in the middle and a solid chocolate fondant...how many times?!

Report
Pancakeflipper · 15/02/2011 23:41

Ha ha IHeartKingThistle

Solid fondants... Oh it makes Greg cry.

Raise you a starchy risotto, an unseasoned buttersquash soup and "I can't eat that.. pink chicken"

ooh, when Greg goes all crossed, casts a glance over at the contestant and forms big O with his mouth..."a truly lovely plate of food!

I'm looking forward to Monica's eyebrow twitching incredulity of horror as some poor sucker tries to fillet a catfish or somesuch in ten seconds....

MadameDefarge · 15/02/2011 23:45

..and some lovely "fusion" food" chocolate dipped onion bhaji, anyone?

Dp mentioned this tonight, I think we need to get a life. We usually watch all of them, but dp is the cook in the relationship. Liked Michel Roux's service though, good stuff.

Thank you so much for starting this thread - I'd have missed half of the series otherwise.

I do so hope we lose the mircroscopic smears of parnsip puree and zigzags of sauces. I do so feel for fine diners (and I include myself amongst them when I get the chance) just to have some miserable blob of utter gorgeousness...its cruel.

queenstromba happy to be of service and am very glad i am not all alone in my "saddo-ness"
