at the side of the street when they're dropping their kids off at school?
Ok, I just need to rant for a minute and then I'll be fine, and I do realise it's not a big deal, but right now, I'm infuriated!
Why do some parents think it's ok to just stop dead right at the school gate, in order to let their little darling get out of the car, saunter round to the boot to retrieve school bag, saunter back round to chat to parent through car window, before finally heading off to school gate, at which point parent drives off - seemingly oblivious to the 4 or 5 cars stuck behind them?
There are spaces to park further on in the street - and I mean like 10 yards further!

Of course YANBU. At our DDs school there is parking alongside it on three sides but you have to avoid the gates of the residents. About 200 metres along the road there is more parking. In front of the school there is an island with parking allowed. Every evening two cars (one is a black porsche the other an Audi) park at each end of the island thus ensuring that there is a traffic jam. I've spoken to the school about it and they said they couldn't do anything.
My next port of call is the police. I have spoken to the drivers of both cars, they don't give a toss.

Because they are arrogant lazy twonks who think rules dont apply to them. Just like the jerk offs round here who park outside the chippy on a very busy main road (double yellows outside, sign in the window saying do not park outside) when there is a 100 space car park dead opposite. Lazy stupid twats.
