oh FGS, new thread, aibu to want to chuck my phone out the bloody window. I don't think i am.
I had a large post written explaining the situation but it will take ages to rewrite so here are the basic.
I return to work tomorrow after maternity leave, have been in on a few occasions to keep myself up to date with gossip training etc.
Spoke with my boss last week when i was in to ask what i'd be working on, to which he replied sarcastically well if you can find some work to do let me know.
I work in construction industry and i'm aware things are dire bit our office policy is no compulsory redundancies.
I'm going back to put my dcs in childcare and earn very little once that is paid, i mean literally peanuts.
Should i be thankful to have a job or should i risk it and do the sensible thing and leave? I need to return for 3 months but after that??
My main concern is that i invested a lot into my career, long uni course, continual training etc but i can't step away for a few years as it would be very difficult to return and there aren't jobs there just now.
BUT i can't face the prospect of twiddling my thumbs and doing nothing for the foreseeable!
