Sadly, giving him a taste of his own medicine by waking him up at 3am for a quickie 'to see how he likes it' is unlikely to have the effect you want.

you know... some people may appreciate the attention, but he might not be aware that you are not looking forward to his "favours" hard enough as to interrupt your sleep.

He might be thinking he is flattering you, blessing you with his passion in the middle of the night, really... some people just don't get it.

So, no, you are not unreasonable at all. But explain him, hopefully with the help of bees and apples, that you would appreciate the attention at a more adequate time, like when he books a holiday sans children, with nice expensive dinner and a fireplace in the bedroom hotel.
