To not open any 'happy new year' text messages till at least midnight ?

I've come back to my phone to check for and urgent messages mumsnet and ice got 3 more happy new year messages, I've already had a couple if others.

Wait til midnight, stop bring lazy and do it right.

I've never managed to get texts to send at midnight on NYE because the networks always so busy.

No it just bugs me, it starts earlier every year and you still end up getting them through the night anyway.

Most people will be busy out enjoying themselves not trying to resend texts that wont go through at midnight.
