to think that people sometimes invent solutions to problems that don't exist?

another example:

Also saw advertising on the TV at work in the waiting area for a hands-free soap dispenser (one of those squirty ones that has a pump for liquid soap) "to stop germs forming on the pump head" or something. Am I missing the point, but once you've pressed the pump, aren't you going to be washing your hands anyway... so germs on the pump are a bit moot? I must be missing something there?

I dont understand them myself you are going to be drying your hands on towels that others have used i.e have germs on.
