AIBU?

To find this "smoker" joke quite amusing.

On the way to work this morning I saw a white van. On the side, near the front, someone had painted in red letters "Warning. Smoker on board". Then on the same side, near the back, were the words "Pre-smoker on board"

Obviously I do not think it a good idea for parents to smoke around their children or to encourage them to take up the habit themselves. But it made me chuckle as a two fingers up to the anti-smoking lobby. I would be curious to know the story behind it, e.g. if the owner was so hacked off by people having a go at him (or her) that he (she) had done it as a deliberate wind up.

That's quite weird.

A pre-smoker is someone who has given up

So I guess it was a correction

A pre-smoker is one who has never taken it up, not someone who has stopped.

It's not very funny is it. A bit like woeful pics of kids with beer bottles or unlit fags in their mouths.

Oh and I'm an occasional social smoker.

I don't see why it's 2 fingers up to the antismoking lobby. It just seems a bit odd.

Actaully it sounds to me like it was somebody who was against smoking, making a point about smoking in cars with kids in

Generally-speaking, I think signs in cars are a bit desperate, and not usually funny

Nope, not funny. Although it may be more humourous when they're only offered £5 for the car when they try to sell it on in a couple of years time, because it stinks like shit inside and has crap daubed all over it.

That's what I though Memoo

Definitely two fingers to the anti-smoking lobby I think.
