I know I was going to cut down a bit on the posting. But I couldn't not comment on this. Madness I tell you!

Well, I wouldn't do it myself, but YABU to be angry about it. Save your energy for something that actually matters!

Have you thought of anger management classes?

Perhaps angry is too strong a word. It does shock and irritate me though

Why does it shock and irritate you?

I'd probably be surprised and maybe find it funny, since Advent hasn't even begun, but I can't say that Christmas decorations would ever cause me to be shocked or irritated!

pehaps the father is in the army, and wanted to put them up together before he went serving for his country

I live on an army estate and a number of people have got the decorations up including their tree. The first one went up two weeks ago and their husbands aren't away or going away. They said they just loved Christmas.

It does make me laugh when ever I see them as I do find it ridiculous.

only now? your lot are slacking! we have had several people with their tree and lights up since Nov 1st.

Seriously- it's their choice and makes them look a bit like knobbers, but to get angry is a complete waste of fury. save your anger for people who deserve it.

I put my tree up when I need cheering up as the nights get darker - generally the back end of November most years. Only reason it's not going up next week is that we're waiting to exchange contracts and move - otherwise I'd have done it for the mental lift.

If ya don't like it - poo to you :P

There are all sorts of reasons people put their decorations up early. The old people's home I go to every week always puts theirs up in early november. And the house over the road has put theirs up early this year.

But to be honest its none of my business so why worry?

Angry?

shocked and irritated?

well, you are of course entitled to feel however you want to feel.

But I think it would be better to not care about the choices of other people, when those choices don't affect you. They're not asking you to pay the electric bill, are they?

Not your problem then.

Life is so much less stressful when you don't care about what other people choose to do.

(except abuse etc.....)
