God I have a real thing about level crossings, I was flapping my hands and saying stop trying to start the car and just get out, get the baby and GET OUT!!! lol I know its not real but its my real fear.

I think you just have to forget it and watch something more lighthearted now Smile

redflag sorry for your loss. I can see this both ways, on one hand it is "only" television.

However some programmes/scenes may be distressing to some people for various reasons.

I didn't watch the end properly. As soon as she stopped the car and I saw where it was I thought "I know where this is going" :(

Perhaps it would be better for you to consider turning things off at the first sign of potentially triggering bad memories. Plenty of people on here/rl would fill you in later if you wanted to keep up with the plot.

Hope you manage to relax later.

We had a local one and I believe there were several incidents on it. (it was on a very busy road). Basically that road is now closed to through traffic and there is a pedestrian bridge over the lines.

Oh my god! there used to be one we went over in Feltham, always had solid traffic and people would just stop on it, with others pulling right up their backsides.

Used to make me hyperventilate just seeing them.
I know how it feels to be squashed by a train, its not good!

I used to live near a level crossing (could see it from my bedroom window) and you'd be surprised (well probably not actually) at the amount of people who would take ridiculous risks jumping over the barrier just to save themselves two minutes waiting time. Stupid thing was, there is a footbridge over it, people would just rather risk their lives than make an effort walking.

For the above reason, I'm a nervous wreck watching scenes like that, as I always feel it's an accident waiting to happen.

redflag, it was one of the reasons I moved! Mainly the noise from the trains, but I was very nervous about the crossing! I felt compelled to run to the window every single time I heard the crossing noise even though I really didn't want to see anything!
