The woman has a sense of humour.

She slapped Craig down.

She can't dance for shit, and she knows it, and mocks it herself.

She is a total prude, and is playing on.

Its bloody hilarious, and I find myself liking her Shock

AIBU? Grin

Don't forget that when she was in power she thought it completely acceptable for female prison inmates to be chained to hospital beds as they gave birth.

I can't forget this and can never think kindly of her.

Politics aside, I think she is great!

She's definitely a game old bird and I do like the way she is very feisty. DS thinks she is really funny.

Don't like her politics at all though, so she doesn't have quite the likeability factor John Sergeant had.

there can be no 'politics aside', she is vile and i seethe at this makeover. she makes me think fondly of christine hamilton.

I like her! she's so ungainly that I think she has real guts for getting up there and 'dancing'. I bet it's the first time make up has touched her skin too :)

Just so long as everyone remembers she is a fascist cow who thought it was OK for a women to be chained to the bed while she gave birth just because she happened to be in prison at the time.......

And she defendd the Bristol bus driver who kicked the breastfeeding Mum off his bus, saying he was within his rights.

Report
Bucharest · 11/10/2010 08:35

Would that be the Bristol breastfeeding mother who was later found out to be a liar?

Report
Nutmums · 11/10/2010 08:35

I thought the chained to the bed thing had been de-bunked long ago? Someone's over-zealous interpretation of Home Office guidelines?

Report
5DollarShake · 11/10/2010 08:39

I'm assuming yes, that woman. But I'm also assuming AW didn't know she was lying when she commented on it?

Report
seeker · 11/10/2010 08:49

And many mumsnet members commented on the case before it was found to be a lie. Does the fact that the story turned out to be fabricated make their support of the right to bf on a bus invalid?

Agreed - there can be no politics aside with her. She may have put on a nice, fuzzy exterior for this, but she is vile.

not the point, bucharest. she's right wing, not a psychic.

AND she converted to catholicism rather than tolerate women priests within her own faith.

Booboobedoo · 11/10/2010 10:01

She's a gibbering lunatic.

Imo.

DoNotFeedMeBiscuits · 11/10/2010 10:06

She needs a good bra. I can't get past this fact.

There's nothing wrong with being right wing aitch. Extreme right wing maybe, but simply being right of centre does not make anyone a devil.

That said, I don't really care for AW. She pronounces on stuff of which she has no experience which grates. And she is a crap dancer and should be voted off, notwithstanding her very funny putdown of Craig which was brilliant.

But idiotic viewers will vote for her, as they did for John Sergeant, just for the amusement of seeing her gallumphing about. I feel sorry for the competitors who will be voted off in her place.

I agree. She is a deeply nasty person. The handcuffs thing totally defined her as far as I am concerned. I'm not fooled by the comedy turn stuff.

Report
5DollarShake · 11/10/2010 10:16

I think the point is she is extreme right wing.

Report
seeker · 11/10/2010 10:23

Yes. Anyone who can swallow the twin elephants of transubstantiation and papal infallibility and choke on the gnat of women priests has something very skewed in their judgment!

Report
Aitch · 11/10/2010 10:34

thanks for the lecture, dg, but the point is that she IS extremely right wing. and the point of that actual post was that she ISN'T psychic, so when she said that a bus driver was correct to throw a bfing woman off his bus she was answering in (ho ho) good conscience.

Can anyone tell me what it was that she said to Craig that made him laugh?

I was watching, but DS2 chose that very moment to chuck a wobbler so I missed it.

MrsSnaplegs · 11/10/2010 10:43

She pointed out he didn't have a score card for zero so "you will have to give me one" Shock - not sure she quite realised what she had said at the time but it was very funny!

I'm with Aitch and Seeker. No amount of being game for a laugh and prancing around with Anton will make me forget what a vile politician she was.
Anti abortion, anti women priests, pro Section 28, pro shackling women prisoners in Labour.

And we're meant to like her because she doesn't mind making a tit out of herself on Strictly Hmm.

No thanks.

I'd rather watch Scott Maslen or Matt Baker any day of the week Grin
