When I were a lass, (circa 1980) I lived in a very small flat in a very central part of a city. Watching telly one night, my viewing pleasure was interupted by CB chatter, so I opened my windows wide and peered into the street below.

The ariel [sp?] on the car was obvious.Grin

So I wandered downstairs, and approached the renegade vehicle. (CB was illegal at the time) The chap denied all knowledge, until I repeated their recent conversation word for word. Grin

I assume you are referring to Child Benefit. The correct technical abbrev (in the trade!) is CHB. I keep seeing thread with CB and think CB radio too!

mumof2children CB radio referred to Citizen's Band. It started in the US with long-distance truckers warning each other of raod blocks, checks etc, and was celebrated in the song Convoy Listen . :)
