AIBU?

to get a little upset that people start threads bashing a thread that I started to try to provoke some friendliness and positivity!?!?

I just wanted to make people feel good and for others to say thank you to friends who have helped them through tough times...can't believe that some people have taken this as competitive and got upset because they are not on it. All very sad and odd in my humble opinion. Well, I tried.

It has given me a very bad feeling about mumsnet to be honest if even a positive thought provoking post causes 'problems' and offence.

its nothing that a lot of us haven't seen before numer ous times.

you live and learn at1137. a thread asking to name names is only going to leave some ppeople out despite your best intentions

It's just a shame that people get so competitive about things...I think is says more about them than the others tbh. Sad

Excellent - a thread about a thread about a thread Grin

This always happens with the "name a MNetter" threads btw...

I'm not hurt by people taking the piss, it just saddens me.

I wouldn't let it sadden you. Most people are just having a larf, they're not genuinely upset or anything. I never read the 'I love this MNer' threads, but one that talks about who is a bastard? Count me in Grin

AT1137, you haven't been around long enough if you don't know that a thread like that was always going to end in tears and tantrums

AT1137 · 27/08/2010 10:38

memoo, not around long enough and not stopping around for more. It's like being in a bloody primary school. Signing off now.

Enjoy pissing and slagging eachother off. I've had enough.

you aren't a proper mumsnetter unless you've flounce at least once

Those name-your-favourite threads DO NOT exist without the counter what-am-i?-invisible? threads.
You cant have been around long.
Why are you concentrating on the negative and not on your very long, very well recieved thread?
You're being a bit silly.
As are, imo, those who get bothered at not being mentioned - but thats another issue/ishooo (delete as appropriate).

Fuck, right.

"Use are all bitches!"

Flicks hair and slams door.

AT1137 - starting a thread to encourge people to name who they like thus millions of people being left out - now that is very primary schoolish and I totally agree with the others. I've been mumsnetting for nearly 7 years and this has happened countless times.

I agree, this site just proves what it's like when you get a bunch of women together - they act like a bunch of catty bitches and like me you don't HAVE to be around long enough to realise it!!!!

People need to grow up.

School is back next week right? So we can go back to the usual monthly "Mumsnet is mean" posts rather than the current bi-weekly version?

Yawn. Why is it that when men slag each other off they never get accused of schoolyard behaviour? The minute somebody brings up the whole 'playground bullies' stuff, I tend to assume they are a nethun moron, I'm afraid. They always seem to think they are the first person in history ever to use the analogy too.

Am I being a bit thick, not unheard of.

Are we talking about the name your fav Mnetter. I havn't seen any nastiness and thought the other thread for the unpopular girls was just a joke.

I think we are all lovely, brilliant, super cool amazing women.

Especially me I am really fantastico (even is none of you have noticed). Grin
