Poor ds2 has rashy skin on his face which seems a bit weepy. The dr won't see him as they've got no appointments today (grrrr!).
Can anyone suggest any over the counter stuff for him please?

He should really be seen today, friday and all that.
Infected eczema is worthy of an emergency appointment
Phone back your surgery and tell them he needs one

I've just spoken to them again and they just kept repeating 'I don't have anything for today' over and over.
Am in tears. So frustating. HV's kept telling me it was dry skin and to use olive oil.
Off to the hospital.
Thanks.

Jahan, hope your ds2's rash cleared up?

I have a similar query. My 15month old has small, mild patches of eczema on either side of his jaw, and also 2 on each arm (bizarrely symmetrical!)/ They are easily kept under control with a hydrocortisone cream (Dactacort), but he has recently developed another blemish on one cheek (no symmetry this time!) which he has now had for a couple of months. I've tried leaving it be, sudocrem, and eventually dactacort, but nothing has cleared it up. It settles down a bit (but never completely) and then flares up again for no apparent reason. At the moment it looks a bit scabby, like it may be getting infected. It doesn't seem to bother him at all. Any ideas what it might be, and how I can treat it? I'm seeing my health visitor on Monday, but any thoughts from other mumsnetters most welcome in the meantime!
