Anyone seen an allergy to Infacol?

I've tried to look online to see if one of the side effects (if any) of Infacol are eczema-type allergies. Has anyone known of this?

I only ask because from the day (evening) i started using Infacol religiously at every feed, my daughter's skin came out in spots which i thought were just milk spots or normal baby spots but now she has developed eczema on her face. I dont know if the two are related or whether it is purely coincidental. I know that Infacol isn't absorbed at all so I have no idea if an allergy would be able to develop with it.

As I am trying to see if there is anything that has significantly changed in my diet since putting her on Infacol (i.e. too much dairy or wheat), any info would be great.

Do you find the infacol does anything useful, if not I would just stop that and see. I think they can be allergic to anything. In my personal experience infacol did nothing, if you find it invaluable then speak to your HV or doc.

Yeah it does seem to be working wonders, except for the last two or three nights . I am seeing both GP and doc next week so i'll speak to them both about it and see what they say.

Have you searched for it as Simeticone (or activated dimeticone)?

I suspect (I'm not a doctor) that what you are experiencing is just Infacol not working rather than a reaction to it.

Are you staying within the recommended doses per day?

Haven't done a search on Simeticone, but i may do - thanx.

Infacol doesn't have a daily dose limit and it recommends you give it before every feed, no matter how often you feed.
