Am putting this in for a friend and thought that the people who post on allergy bit would be most likely to have an answer for her.

Her son has suspected reflux but may also be reacting to dairy. Doc has given him gaviscon to be taken 5x a day. LO is BF so can't put it in bottles. Any tips on getting LO to take it? Any past experience that can help her... tendancy to spit it out.

My little boy used to take this and he was bf.

I used to sterilize a avent bottle cover/top and use it to mix the sachets with 5ml of cooled boiled water. I then used a sterilized syringe to administer it - a little at a time if need be.

Hope it works

Get baby to lick a small spoon then coat in powder and give back to baby to suck off - in case baby doesnt like dummies or your friend does'nt want to introduce one.

This is how I get my DS to take his Ashtons and Parsons

We had to give ds Gaviscon and had the same problem. A syringe was OK but he did spit it out. In the end we sterilised a plastic spoon and he took it much better from that.
