My ds has eczema, although not very severe, and got chicken pox last year when he was 2 1/2. He didn't have any problems at all with it. Don't worry too much, rinol, but maybe talk to GP if you are concerned.

My ds had severe excema and had chicken pox about 18 months ago.He was fine, although he did have millions of spots.I too was slightly worried about the risk of his excema geting infected but it didn't,we kept on top of it with steroid cream.
He also has allergies, try not to worry too much.

DS has eczema and had a mildish case of chicken pox a couple of weeks ago (caught from nursery). I thought the itching from the spots bothered him less as he is used to having itchy dry patches from his eczema.

DS had chickenpox when he was 1. He was absolutely covered from head to foot but tbh it didn't seem to bother him. He has eczema, asthma and nut allergies. His bath stuff for eczema was good for the chickenpox.

Try not to worry about it.

I dont know about vaccinations for it? But my dd had it and it was terrible. She had all over eczema and allergies but I never had much help from gps. Dont think they knew what we were going through. Dont want to worry you but didnt like to not say either. Sounds like most people on here has had a better experience. fingers crossed

DS had severe eczema as a baby, although is under control now (but reapers if we cease treatment). He got far more spots than my nephews who were vaccinated (they got 2 or 3 while DS had more than 100 in his tummy), but having such a training in controlling scratching due to eczema, I think that out of being at home for a few days he didn't have a bad time.

We used acyclovir, although in DS's case the reaction was not exaclty diminished.

The first sign of cp for my ds recently was worsening excema but it really wasn't so bad as I feared. I had some aqueous calomine cream which I hadn't seen before and was really good.
