Very slightly raised rash all over DD 11mths - advice?

My DD 11mths started getting a rash yesterday. I figured it was just a wee bit of a heat rash so have been keeping her cool, but it seems to be getting worse. Last night she had a bit of diarrhea (sp?) and this morning the rash has got worse. She's been in just her nappy all morning and is definitely not too warm, could it be a food allergy? I put apple, apricot and strawberry puree in her cereal yesterday and this morning (she's had it before but not for a while) and am now wondering if it could be a strawberry allergy. Theres a picture of the rash here if that might help anyone advise me. It doesn't seem to be bothering her much, not particularly itchy I don't think.

Looks allergic tbh, but just do the glass test just in case, to be on the very very safe side.

I thought it didn't look allergic..but no expert has she had any cold type symptoms, is it raised? It is not unlike a measles rash but it's very hard to tell does she have anything in her mouth?

She would have a raised temeperature with measles, is she eating and drinking today?

She's got very little appetite, hasn't wanted her food for the last 2 or 3 days. No cold/flu like symptoms, her nasal passage may be a little swollen as she was whistling a bit thru them while sleeping just now. Can't see anything in her mouth, but it's difficult to get in to see, as she tries to bite! Waiting for NHS direct to ring me back. Have done a search for images of measles rash and it does look like that kinda rash.

Many viruses have associated rashes

if it was urticaria it doesn't last long and may be itchy

If she is off food i think it is probably a virus of some kind

Are here eyes at all red?

ds3 has got this at the moment. I thought it was allergy but its spread all over him at the moment and he has a mild cold (and slightly dodgy tummy, nothing major though, just a bit loose) so I've switched to thinking its viral.

She's be feeling very poorly if it was measles and it comes up in specific order (behind ears forehead/face then spreads down). DS3's rash started on his torso spread to his legs has now gone to his face.

Thanks for all the replies ladies.
Not sure what order it came in but theres a little on her forehead (but not much), behind her ears, her neck and all over her torso down into her nappy. Legs and arms clear. Still waiting for NHS callback. Wouldn't eat her lunch but drinking plenty.
If it's viral what should I be doing for her?

making sure she maintains a normal temperature and has enough or even plenty to drink. If she is off her food then don't force her, offer easy things she likes, but don't worry if she is taking fluids.

My dd had exactly the same but after her measles jab.
After visits to doc and A&E because she became quite unwell, the general concencus was it was a virus.
Not much help I am afraid-hope she gets better soon.

Thanks again.
NHS direct finally got back to me and the nurse I spoke to got a local doctor to phone me. She says it sounds like a virus, but I'm to take her to the out of hours surgery at my local hospital to get it checked out anyway.
Will update tonight.

I hope she's ok and not measles. And she recovers promptly whatever it is.

It is far more likely to be an unknown virus but good idea to check it out

Dr said rash looks like measles but as theres no runny eyes or mouth sores it isn't measles so is just a non-specific virus. She's just eaten a tiny bit of dinner and a whole RO yogurt so hopefully on the way out of it. Thanks again ladies.
