Well Managed Coeliac with Reflux Symptoms? Ideas please.

We originally sought a paeds referral almost two years ago for DD aged 5 about as I became aware she was bringing up small mouthfuls of spew into her mouth/back of her throat - I could smell this on her breath maybe every few days.

She was finally diagnosed with Coeliacs back in November and has since been on a gluten free diet. We had her review last week and her bloods indicate she is well managed (although I do wonder how sensitive this is as I am pretty sure around the time they were taken she had been given Barley including juice). Since going GF her energy and attention span have improved significantly. Unfortunately the reflux type symptoms have if anything got worse. I would say after every meal. I have tried reducing cows milk as her initial tests came back showing a slightly elevated enzyme level. No major change. Looking back I am pretty sure she had silent reflux as a baby.

She has also lost weight since diagnosis, c1 kilo, she would always from an EBF baby been on a higher centile for weight than height (she has now dropped 75th weight to 50th weight, tracking 25th for height, I have for c3 years been worried about her being overweight and watched her intake, since diagnosis she still has a very good appetite but was previously continually hungry).

She has had a full blood picture, thyroid function, etc. Only thing slightly off is her iron (it's 8 rather than 10).

We are now referred to a gastro-interologist (I'd say it'll be a good few months before we are seen) and will be reviewed in 3 months by her consultant.

I know this is mammoth (thanks if you got this far) but I am kind of at my wits end. It must be so bloody uncomfortable and I just would love to know what it is. Any ideas? Also recs for any kind of alternative remedies which might help alleviate her symptoms.

Thanks,
M

PS She has also had a barium swallow which showed nothing structural.
